Ok I need help here understanding what's going to happen with the enforcement of online pvp. Bungie stated that if a player is lagging or causing the room to lag that player can get banned if done multiple times? I'm asking why because the way it sounded was if someone has poor internet they could be included in getting banned? If that's the case most of my friends that love to play pvp are afraid to even go in there.. They have poor internet and are unable to afford a decent connection and bungie might punish them for that? Please someone clear this up for me I just want to be sure I understand what's going on..

1 RespuestaThat is what is happening, despite the fact that it's the nuclear option. I suggested monitoring and flagging those with poor Internet connections. Rather than banning those people, divert them in to a matchmaking pool with others who have poor connections. This way they still get to play pvp, without ruining the experience for others who have good connections. It doesn't seem to be a popular suggestion.

6 RespuestasBasically it's the people that lag all the time and are impossible to kill if that's your friend then bye bye.

3 RespuestasYup that's what's going on. Your friends may love to play but they are potentially ruining the experience of others by playing with a knowingly bad connection. I'm sorry that they can't afford better intent but why should they be allowed to play if it's causing others to hate to play.

4 RespuestasFirst it's not a ban it's a restriction Second low cost internet is fine as long as you set it up right. Hard wire is best and make sure no one is streaming when you play other uses are usually ok. Above all don't worry you won't be banned for the odd red bar that can happen to anybody it's only if you have lots.

Most people with "bad internet" are cheating lag switchers. Goodbye to those assholes. Great decision Bungie!!!

Great decision eliminate lag switchers and ppl with bad Internet ruining game for everyone

It doesn't really matter if you suffer from really high latency due to crappy ISP and/or hardware or if you're faking bad connection through a lagswitch - it still affects your opponents in the crucible in the same bad way.
