Is there any way of getting to 300 light without raid?

Iron Banner. I was stuck at mid 290s for months. Just before this Iron Banner session commenced, my main character, a Hunter, was on 297 light level. I played loads of Iron Banner Rift, all the way to rank 5 and even after hitting rank 5 I still kept on playing for the post game rewards (which included 300+ boots and a 320 ghost shell). And so after the Iron Banner session I was at 304 light level. Now exotics can decrypt at 310 and I just got a 310 exotic that boosted my light to 305. I played solo on Iron Banner the vast majority of the time and I'm an average crucible player at best.

Very possible. My highest setup is 302, and I haven't touched the raid yet. 3oC and exotics at 310 are great for leveling legendaries.

exotic sword and lots of 299 blue gear drops.

I often infuse unneeded 310 exotics into my gear. Mostly weapons will get you to 300+. Armor may take longer. The court quest will also give you a 300 artifact.

Yup. Exotic sword and lucky drops from court of oryx. That being said, get the quest for the 310 artifact and just run the raid once.

By using the exotic sword which is the only 310 one that you can get in my immediate memory you can hit 300-301 and then farm exotics with three of coins to try and get 310 gear to either use or infuse. Biggest issue will be your ghost shell, class item and artifact.

Yes, technically you can get higher, blues and purples can drop at 300, get all 300 gear and you will be a 300, once there exotics have a chance to drop at 310 which you could infuse into your gear to get higher. It will be hard and a long process but yes, it is possible.

I am 308, almost 309 from raid drops, but when I did the Raid my first time I was 299.

Very hard. Need a lot of luck. 36 and heroic strikes can drop up to 300 max. But even me myself have never seen a 300 blue or legendary engram but my friends have gotten them though.

Yeah, have a feeling it's going to cost us though.... Stuck @ 305. Raid drops aren't helping @ 303-305.

Yes, but you have to be really luckly. 299 blues and 310 exotic weapons (Old BS, Exotic Swords for example). Its way simpler to just to the raid and snag a 310 ghost shell.

Yes there is. Non raid gear caps out at 300.

I was playing iron banner and I got my first 300 cloak from it I was so excited, afterwards I did the strike quest and got a 300 shotgun that's all I got for 300 items without raiding so far

Get lots of engrams. On a rare occasion you'll get 300 gear from engrams. Black spindle helped a lot before it got patched. Once you get 1 character to 300, you have a chance to get 310 exotics from engrams on that character.

Lots of engrams and grinding, got a 300 dealbreaker from an engram, and a 300 artifact from a quest. Get everything else close to 300, get exotic sword to put you at 300, start grinding for exotics and hope for them to drop at 310, infuse, repeat

Yeah. You need a 300 ghost and artifact though your best bet is court of oryx. Also your gonna need an exotic sword at 310 and that might do it.
