Believe it or not this is a true story...very short story...Bungie please take a few minutes to read this,because it is a common problem
My warlock visits xur,buys 5 helmet engrams...
I dash off to bastard Rahool to decrypt mabye one or two,save the others to use on other characters...
first engram,is of course,for my hunter,and one my hunter has of course,its even equipped as of this decrypting,
so,a bit bummed because I thought they took care of this issue of stuff decrypting for other characters...
next FOUR engrams decrypted into light beyond nemesis,not lying,or joking...worst part...
my warlock was wearing a fully leveled light beyond nemesis....so I get 4 more...

They told us of all these improvements but rather than these stories being actuall,they were lies to sell us on the new product because they knew it was a huge issue and we wouldnt want more of this same BS so they lied...told us the RNG was smarter,improved...F you Bungie....I wouldnt be upset if ya hadnt told us it would be different cuz I was used to getting screwed by the engram decryptions...but you told us ya fixed it,made it better...Im going to make sure to keep spreading the news unless ya wanna refund my 40 bucks.
Update 10/3/15---I hope bungie sees all the others having same problem and gives us the loot system/engram decryption we were sold on in those twitch feeds and news stories/weekly updates. Thanks for the feedback and keep sharing your stories of how this improved system is working (not working) for you.
update 10/9/15-did it again. my hunter wanted a different set of gloves,bought 1 engram...sealed ahamkara's...while wearing a fully lvld set...back to buy another engram,no suprise right? another set of the same thing equipped...while there are others I do not have...so bungie,this is the new improved loot system eh? I call bull$hit...and so do some others by the looks of it.

2 RespuestasThis is the only complaint post I've seen in the past few weeks I can really get behind. Besides all the crapy exotic engram duplicates. I always seem to get gear from strike bosses for my titan while I'm playing on my hunter.

Does moving engrams to different characters help get exotics from that class?

1 RespuestaNext time only decrypt one engram at a time and leave the rest sitting in your vault. I used to get triples and quadruples of everything. Last night I bought 6 engrams. 3/4 have been new items. P.S. Bungie did say they fixed the multiple decryptions of the same thing, however....what they didn't tell you is that all of those helmets had different rolls therefore it made them "different." I have yet to get doubles of an exotic that has the same rolls and that's probably what they meant. Sneaky bastards...

2 RespuestasThere's definitely a problem with this new RNG system. My friend got six hawkmoons and I got five invectives. I find that removing/deleting all of that specific weapons/armour from your inventory, will fix this problem. It's the only way I just got a hereafter. If no one believes me I've barely had any kills with it... [spoiler]Also I wish I could say I'm lying. No one wants 5 invectives[/spoiler]

I don't remember them ever saying that engrams would be class specific, exotics even have (random class) in the description. I've had the same problem with exotic engrams, I've gotten more then a few doubles and triples. For everything else though the RNG seems to be working pretty well for me. If I turn in 10 rare engrams I'll get at minimum 1 legendary. I've gotten a full set of crucible, vanguard, DO,some FWC and NM, along with guns from each as well. So not sure how they've tweaked their algorithm for exotic engrams but I doubt they had nefarious intentions as you seem to think.

17 RespuestasOR... how about the player that has a newborn, and hasn't had much time to read and follow up with what's going on, notices xurs in town on one of the few times I can play immediately buys 7 weapon engrams at 31 coins a pop, just to discover they're year one BS!

Similar thing happened to me. I buy 3 from Xur, gte one light beyond nemesis, 2 obby minds. I do a few strikes with 3 of coins, 3 helmet engrams all turn into obby mind.

I have a hunter an warlock who are good (31 Titan). Decrypted 3 helmets... Got 3 helm of inmost light. I'm not buying anything from xur now except armour since 3oC and engrams are clearly broken.
