[b]Recommended primarys[/b]: pulse rifles, scout rifles, auto rifles, (super cell, bad juju, any suros)
[b]Recommended special[/b]: High impact sniper (1000 yard stare, black spindle)
[b]Recommended heavy[/b]: High impact machine gun (or any you can shoot accurately)
[b]Recommended weapon perks[/b]: Extra damage to taken, faster reload when empty, kills increase damage, stability, etc.

I've killed that giant fly 37 times since launch. Am I ready? Are you? [spoiler]the lowest I've done it is 285 light[/spoiler] Double spoiler! [spoiler]light level is crucial mostly at the bosses before oryx and less so at him specifically. As long as you are able to kill your ogre or the team is capable, the actual dps for oryx falls dramatically short compared to detonating all 4 bombs each time[/spoiler]

you do not mention sword as raid worthy. I'll have you know Raze-Lighter can murder any major in the raid with ease, including the Knight in the Oryx fight.
