I have tried all night to get this exotic sniper, black spindle(lame name honestly). No matter who I pair with we just can't get that Taken Taniks to drop in time(not to mention the adds). This mission has left thousands of guardians crying in it's wake. Some claim it to be easy....well....-blam!- you. Will i stand here crying? Screaming for a nerf? No....i'll accept defeat and grow stronger over time so when i meet this dreaded foe once more....i'll probably die the first couple of trys....but....i'll defeat you....maybe. Really though, congrats to anyone who accomplished this. I've carried several ppl through Skolas but this mission is the hardest event i've tried in Destiny. Makes a guardian question his skill n shit.

Self Rez exotic sword it really helps

206 RespuestasKudos for trying your best. It is an incredibly difficult task. I barely got it after 5 tries. For anyone else who weren't quite able to overcome to horde of Taken, don't worry, you will get another shot.

1 RespuestaWe beat him with only two people on our first try. Then we try 3 man and we fail. I dont get it.
-
7 RespuestasMy team did it first try with 3 min to spare.
-
Take out all of the ads and then damage the boss thats what i did
-
Got lucky and beat him on our second try. Only had 3 seconds left. I'd recommend having 2 with exotic swords to kill the adds quickly when he drops.

Editado por bobswerski: 9/25/2015 6:54:14 PMIKR? The main problem for a lot of us I bet is lack of flexibility with our equipment. I'm sure if we had a Y2 saint-14 and exotic swords or shotties my team could have breezed thru too but RNG has given me exotic primaries and fusions instead so time kept running out. We also really got bogged down in the walker room, those yellow sniper vandals are super annoying!

2 RespuestasXdeathbyajaxx. I'll help you. Got mine in an hour

2 RespuestasI got it with my fire team about 2 hours before reset, and I'm not that stoked about it, it feels like a decent legendary, but not quite an exotic. Still piercer is a different story.

Editado por Acesforever: 9/25/2015 3:30:55 PMYou'll get there man. All it takes is the right coordination. Got mine when I was 292. Had a 293 and a 284 with us. We had two sunbreakers and a storm caller. Sunbreakers broke left and right at the beginning, storm caller mopped up any adds, and then we focused on the big guy, prioritizing blights as they spawned. Pretty easy once you get the mob of taken under control, since the big guy isn't too tough. Long as you get to the last room with 6 minutes or more to spare, you should be fine.

1 RespuestaI shed a tear of respect to your efforts sir

1 Respuestathe questing beast auto rifle the vanguard is selling does bonus damage to taken
-
8 RespuestasI've been trying to get that "Fatebringer 2.0" from The Undying Mind strike, but I too am having no luck. I'll get it when I get it...buy the 1000 yard stare from the Vanguard vendor, it's a great sniper.

4 RespuestasThis one YouTuber was insane. He did it solo.
-
I would suspect the real key to this is having multiple raid weapons to help with extra damage to taken.
-
1 RespuestaLmao I beat it at 290 light. I only had a 298 and another 290.
-
1 RespuestaI got lucky enough to 1 shot it. XD claimed it was easy after then tried to carry a friend through and failed miserably XD it's pretty ridiculous but the 1st time we just chained nightstalker, storm caller and had a bubble for safety, it worked great.
-
2 RespuestasMe and my day one fireteam that has done every raid, flawlessly beat trials multiple times (10+) and pretty much did everything this game can offer spent like 3 hours trying with no luck. We were 291 291 and 288 Like the OP said it made us rethink our skillz n shit But once its down to 290 ehhh might not attempt it
-
1 RespuestaIt's bad anyways so yeah

8 RespuestasSc Slayerage soloed it lol
-
The best strategy for this mission is to have one person focus on adds, another person shooting the boss & adds & the last person just focus on the boss only. I tried 5 times with one fireteam & we didn't beat it but I tried again & we beat it in 2 tries using this strategy.
-
2 RespuestasTry it by yourself and look up sc Slayerage for reference. When you play alone the enemies are a lot weaker.

1 RespuestaYou have shown above excellent skill in this post alone. Keep bringing the endurance & maturity to the forum guardian. Proud to call you a brother.

It took me a bunch of tries, but once we got the strategy down, it was actually pretty easy. You need to make sure you kill the blights the second they spawn (they spawn 4 times). That limits the adds so one person can kill them while the other two DPS the boss (without getting shot from all sides). When adds are mostly gone, third person can DPS until blights spawn again. When they do spawn every person should be taking one down. Also, you should coordinate weapons for enemy shields, i.e., have someone with void sword to kill the three wizards in the second room, someone with solar rockets or lmg for knights, etc. Should be able to get to boss with 6-7 minutes left if you do it right. And no, weapons of light is not necessary I've also heard people say they popped a bubble on the platform and sword trapped him. Haven't tried but it seems like it could work.
