HOW TO USE THREE OF COINS....fastest engrams
Lets keep this on top so people know...
There seems to be alot of confusion about them..heres what im doing, its got me 5 exotic engrams and ive only used around 20-25 coins...
the scorge of winter mission on lowest difficulty, on venus, run to the boss at the end.
1 - use 1 coin
2- get his health low
3 - rocket suicde next to him (itll kill both of you)
4 - rinse and repeat
Edit 1 .. just got a year 2 monte carlo, so you can get yr 2 exotics from a yr 1 ultra :) ... happy hunting guardians

Edit 4.. as of 210 est.. it is still working.
Edit 5.. it wont drop everytime u kill the boss, it might take up to 15 or even 20 tries sometimes, and other time it could only take a few... just be patient

They intend you to use a coin, run a strike, if you fail to get an exotic from the boss, use another coin and keep running the playlist, your chance increases every time. Doing it the way the OP suggested is just going to get them to patch it and make it only work on a certain light level or once per strike (regardless of # of times you do it over). This is clear cut cheesing and borderline cheating - people like the OP are what encourages Bungie to change the game NOT in our favor. Lest I remind you of the loot cave.
