Why Nolan North for the ghost?
Why not someone that has a spotless record when it comes to voice overs?
Why not Peter Cullen aka optimus prime?

Bump. I for one will be muting my game after I finish the new story lines. I can't stand the new ghost. It has made me stop playing for the most part till Y2 drop.

North is actually a very good voice actor - nothing is wrong with HIM. The problem is, that the character he is doing (talented voice actors can do a variety of different characters - tone, inflection, pacing, dialect, etc. all help define a character) - but that the character is a BAD choice for the game. His character sounds less like a wise mechanical mentor that is a shard of the traveler, and more like a 12 year old who is wide eyed and naive about the world. Sure, a ghost is not omnipotent - but the new character has a lot of ....insecurity in his voice ....which is different than the capable yet occasionally doubtful voice of the previous ghost. (these are very subtle nuances, but as someone who actually has experiences in voice acting, on both sides of the mic, they are easy to spot...). The fault is not Nolan's, but the direction he was given (or not given), and the process by which his material was approved. Honestly, it just does not fit the game - which is a very gritty place, with humanity struggling to survive - the new ghost character seems a better fit in a kids cartoon or maybe as a c3po knockoff.
