I picked up Metal Gear Solid 5 at midnight, I'm just over 2 hours in and I am blown away. Snake has never looked or played better! The environments are massive and beautifully rendered, truly open world. You want to talk next generation console gaming? This is it! This game is gorgeous and it is the reason to upgrade folks. While it's strange not to hear David Hayter as snake, Keifer Sutherland does a great job. If you're going to throw money at the screen, throw it at MGS 5, you won't regret it

Editado por AnaLoGMunKy: 9/4/2015 9:20:00 AMNext gen has not hit us yet. Using current gaming engines to their fullest is impressive, but not next gen. PS4 and Xbone are not next gen Next gen will be a complete change in how games are made. Improved physics and games made to mimic reality in the most impressive of ways. When you blow up a building in BF, it doesnt crumble differently every time. It crumbles in a myriad of set parameters which is impressive and making full use of current tech but its not next gen. A building made up of real world physics so a material actually has a breaking point is next gen. A more detailed bump map on voxel models that, using light, give the impression of texture is not next gen. A model made up of particles so the light particles HAVE to bounce off them in a particular way is next gen. Characters that follow pre-defined "procedural" formula is not next gen (although, its a step towards what must be done). Giving the AI a set of parameters and allowing it to create new parameters from this will be next gen. i.e. a living, breathing world. Just to be clear, when I say things like particle I dont mean made of atoms in the computer, I mean made of millions of particles within the game that follow the rules of physics. (the best supercomputers in the world cannot handle the computations required to simulate the billions upon billions upon billions of particles that actually make up a single body, nevermind a world) The next big step in games is physics engines because that actually how everything works. Erm, so enjoy MGS.

1 RespuestaWaiting for Fallout 4 now... The reboot of Gears was fun.

5 RespuestasWith regards to Quiet (nothing spoilery with story or character, just advice).
As soon as you get the chance, use her as your buddy. Directing her is a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, she's awesome. Not only does she scout out locations but she also collects supplies for you. Then you can have her pick enemies off and cover you in a firefight (also, when said fight is over, watch her through your Int-Scope immediately after for a nice touch). Like D-Horse and D-Dog, the more you work with her, the closer the buddy bond becomes. Difference in Quiet's case is that the stronger the bond, the more interesting the inter mission helo rides become if you watch from first person ;)
3 RespuestasBoss is strangely (mostly) mute though. Top notch gameplay, lots to do, and story; God how I missed good story!

3 RespuestasI'm planning on grabbing it once I beat Witcher.

3 RespuestasNah. I'll throw money at the games I wanna play. MGS never seemed interesting to me, and after watching gameplay of it, my opinion hasn't changed.

3 RespuestasIf you haven't tried the Power Plant Side-Op yet, don't read this spoiler.
The fight with Quiet is awesome. It's so simple, and yet it gives off a perfect cat and mouse vibe. Quiet herself is shaping up to be a great character despite never saying a word, and what she can do (see the helicopter sequence) is epic. Not to mention what she's doing in her cell afterward. Holy shit...
2 RespuestasI was thinking about purchasing this game. I keep hearing very good reviews from other users. I love MGS, but the idea of it being on Xbox really made me think otherwise compared to the other titles. But now I want to play from seeing the Gamescom gameplay!

4 RespuestasEditado por slavko: 9/2/2015 9:00:38 AMYes take note this is how you make a game, and this is the type of quality i don't mind perordering. I played ground zeros the day it come out and couldn't wait for phantom pain, literally felt like i was in a coma, playing some shit game called destiny that was the same shit over and over and over and promised to be a the best game over, the grind felt like 9 years and then phantom pain come out and i woke up. Seriously -blam!-en good game.

1 RespuestaExcellent feedback. I appreciate reading about games with better designers and overall re-playability than Destiny. With all the ticked off Destiny gamers, these forums have become a great place to read reviews! Keep them coming!

1 RespuestaI wholeheartedly agree. This game is awesome, and has so many little details it's phenomenal. Even the simplest of things is done exceptionally well. Bungie, take note. This is how you deliver a £40 game.

1 RespuestaGonna go buy it today after work now, you sir, are very convincing. lol
