How did you get so good at it? Where did you practice? In pve or PvP? I'm not good at getting headshots in PvP. Especially since trials is on widows court this weekend lol. What perks do you prefer on a sniper? That's one part of my game I need to improve on. Please I need your opinions guardians.
Edit: thank you guardians. I implemented the changes you generally agreed on. If you inspect my warlock check out my efrideets now. It's been working well for me already. I seriously can't thank you guys enough.

Its just practice, in fact i just went unbroken with NLB! Last week i couldnt even get a kill with that thing, ive used it nonstop since to get better at it, its just practice m8

Start practise in skirmish, rather than clash/control

I gotta tell ya if you really wanna start sniping and get good it's an art it ain't something you can just go out and do pitchout practice go into PVE and get used to a rifle this way you can find a setup you like I have clown cartridge, preformance bonus and high caliber rounds with a short gaze scope on all my rifles but it's not the same for everyone so find what you like. Next when your practicing start with body shots aim for center mass(the chest) and never stop moving even when your scoped in you stop your dead especially if your against another sniper practice getting shot at the same time your trying to shoot someone cuz it'll happen a lot. Next never stay scoped to long or stay in one area to long move around. Then once you get move and fire down aim for the head instead of center mass while moving. Then once your ready go into the crucible and try your skills out because you can practice all day long on but it won't help very much against another human playing because people are unpredictable and you never know what they might do.

Use same scopes and try to use same fire rate snipers. Keep everything as close to each other as you can. And just practice. That's the only real way to get better at it. I got good playing halo 3. (50 in team snipers) Still far better at that game than this one. But in halo shooting through walls was far less of an occurrence and everyone had the same gun.
-
#1 Advice: Either use the same rifle all the time, or make sure all your rifles have the same scope. I like the ambush scope, because its low zoom and easy to use. Also make sure you don't rely on unflinching. I stopped using it and got a lot better. I come from playing a dickload of counterstrike, so my aim is pretty much on point already, so all I gotta do is shoot first. One other tip is to not be afraid to switch to your primary after scoring a body shot. It will most likely be easier to finish them that way then trying to get a second body shot.

41 RespuestasEditado por a_pesky_turtle: 8/25/2015 7:23:07 PMSniper tips (from someone with over 2k kills with nlb <had it for two months>): Absolutely never be afraid of taking the body shot for the kill. Absolutely never hardscope unless your teammates are good at covering you (mostly a trials and skirmish strategy) Absolutely stay mobile. If you snipe a bunch of people in one spot, a bunch of people are gonna see you on their death screen and make their way for payback. Absolutely never be afraid to hipfire if they're breathing down your chest. A shot and a melee will clinch a kill in a pinch. Absolutely always know your surroundings, and determine sightlines. Absolutely read your opponents. If they're hardscoping, they're either really really good, or really really bad. Adjust accordingly. Some players have an unconscious feel for when and where enemies will spawn. It's hard to teach yourself something like that, so practice and experience will be your best bet. Know the difference between high impact low rof and low impact high rof, and what each is good for. I prefer Her benevolence, because I was stupid enough to delete every longbow I ever got. Never started sniping till after my nlb. Blackhammer works in a pinch too. Absolutely take your time when you're starting out. Yes, kd will drop, and yes, that sucks, but charging in with a sniper without knowing what to do with it is ... Well, it's kinda dumb. Absolutely never forget your primary, or your utility belt. Grenades are your friends, as are supers. Absolutely never underestimate a good sniper. If you run into one, and he out snipes you a bunch of times, change tactics. It's okay if someone is better than you. Millions of people play this game. It's inevitable. Finally: Absolutely always have fun. If you stop having fun, switch it up, or put it down for a while. Being salty does not a great sniper make. Be cool. Be fresh. Be steady. Pesky out.

Practice practice practice But also just find a sniper you feel comfortable with, you might like lower aim assist snipers or the higher ones totally dependant on how you play

2 RespuestasI have a question for all the sniper gods. I have a Low Grade Humility with the Shoot To Loot perk. Does it work on ammo boxes or on the actual bricks once the box is opened? Is this perk worth it?
-
Low grade humility is great. High fire rate and good impact. If you miss you have a quick chance to fire again. 350 headshot and 320 while you have a 2 lvl diffe

One tip from me is to keep using the same scope if possible. It helps you to get a feel for it.
-
A lot of practice, I started in pve just to get a hang of the magnification of the scopes, then move to pvp to do some actually practice. It will take a lot of practice so don't get discouraged. But I prefer for trials a high impact lower rate of fire sniper like the Queens sniper or even ice breaker. For perks hidden hand is one of the best as well as anything that gives you more ammo like performance bonus. Also my favorite scope is the ambush. So try to get the same scope on all of your snipers. And don't play on too high of a sensitivity I like 5
-
4 RespuestasAlso don't play on a high sensitivity play on 3 or 4.

2 RespuestasBattlefield :b
damn bullet drop/velocity -.-
I learned to aim for the head in CSS and CSGO, and I like hidden hand and surplus.
-
Well, when you stay away from shotguns since launch up until recently. You get pretty good at it.
-
Practice on fallen they have the most guardian like body style, while practice shooting while strafing and drag scoping from body to head quickly the start out sniping on 3v3 game modes which are really the best game modes to snipe in
