Star wars universe is infinitely larger and imo more fun. More popular worldwide as well. Also star wars novels are awesome.

Hasn't this been done enough? Personally while I like Star Wars but I know more Halo lore and as long as both sides Tier 0/God races. I still go with Halo their production rate is unparalleled even in the SW universe. SW around the 6 month mark the second Death Star is around half way complete. So say it takes 12 months to fully produce a DS. Now Halo the forerunners at their Tier 1 level can create and fully produce a work Halo every 9 days. Coincidently the same amount of time they take to completely demolish an earth size to nothing. The Mantles approach (the Didacts ship) was larger then earths moon and was one of the smallest dreadnought class ships the forerunners produced. They can create a sentinel whose power amplifies with each sentinel that joins the group every 6 seconds. Ships can be 'grown' in minutes War sphinxes (about 12 meters in height) can literally up turn continents and completely vaporise cites and that's in small numbers they had millions of these. Add in ancient humanity who where only behind in slipspace technology giving them similar if not the same in ship building speed as well as attack craft capabilities ship size and power. And even after all that add in the flood who can destroy a world like coruscant with just one spore and its ability to turn A.I against its creators via the logic plague. Add to all of this that the Force doesn't work on creatures from outside the Galaxy (Yuzan Vong) and the Jedi/Sith will now become nothing more then Excellent saber fighters.
