Moments of Triumph Suck...
I'm sorry I spent the entire day trying to knock out Skolas... Got there with little difficulty and then proceeded to get increasingly angered by the last boss. The adds are stupid, passing the taint isn't a big deal just a legit challenge, avoiding Skolas again not a big deal, even the mines just felt challenging... The level 35 adds are beyond frustrating. I decided today that if I can't knock it out this weekend then I don't need the stupid emblem that much. I should have just cheesed when it was solar burn...

You probably are just trying to shoot at Skolas, you need to clear the adds first, and rotate from the left and right side. Start off left, when Skolas/adds are over powering you, switch sides. I will be online Tuesday if you still need the help

Just wait until Small Arms is the buff. It's s helluva lot easier. This weeks is annoying, but yea gotta focus more on AD control.

Wait till small arms is on again to do it. Ads are a breeze then only problem is Small arms usually pairs with light switch so you'll have to be a little carefull there but otherwise easier then trying to do it with angry and catapult on

At the start go left kill the servitor yada yada repeat until bonds break. Then on the right balcony ( this is right as in when you enter the area at the start of the match) there is a small safe are behind on of the metal walls if u need health just chill. Always take out adds before hitting our dear friend skolas, why you might ask, because it just makes it easier. Also if you feel overwhelmed at the location you are at just run clockwise around the edge of the map. This clears your are and allows you some breathing room. Also the only two areas you should be attacking from are the left balcony and the right balcony as those are pretty easy to see any enemies in the area. So you've cleared adds and now you can hit skolas, hit him hard and fast, if you don't have heavy use whatever burn is on either specialist or small arms. Again adds will spawn so wash rinse and repeat until 50%. Mines...these -blam!-ers. How my team does it is we pass the taint then the person with it and the person who will be grabbing it run to the first mine. If your lucky it will spawn where all 3 of you are bonus if it is if not two people book it to the other side. We usually chill on the right balcony most of the time so our two go to the far left then the guy on right covers right and middle since the spawn pretty much next to each other. Alright so mines are gone so kill adds again and then hit skolas. Now we like to tease his health to 25 so to speak, we get him close then take care of adds again. Once we knock him to 25 we all switch to gally with full ammo and unload. This should end him. But wait you still need to dismantle the last set of mines. This shouldn't be a problem no enemies. Enjoy the garbage rewards.

1 of the 25 times I have beaten Skolas was with a guy who couldn't speak. He just started to dance when he needed the taint taking off him. We had Skolas beat in 23 minutes (no wipes) with Lightswitch and Small Arms. It was the second quickest run I had outside of the first 4 burn weeks. It's not overly difficult, you just need a good team.

Dude me and my buddy had the same problem we came up with a system that works you need to do the same thing instead of just using a hunter for mines and sitting in one spot you know rotating helps a lot and I mean a lot with the adds

Well do you want the Moments of Triumph to be easy? Tbh it's not that hard but it's really not that easy and it shouldn't be. If you can't beat skolas, you don't deserve the triumph emblem.

Adds only spawn on Skolas health intervals As soon as you notice adds spawning, ignore Skolas and make them the focus, once they're all cleared out, rinse and repeat As for mines, invis/bubble are the best bets. Or just move as a group and hope that the one who needs to take the taint doesn't get smacked by a stray wire rifle shot.

What we do is just wipe out all ads before doing massive damage to him. Rinse and repeat.

May be more than you need but here you go: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3gb063/sga_indepth_guide_to_beating_skolas Add control is key. If you want to be really careful, take out all the adds around and slowly toss a few rockets at Skolas while keeping an eye on the radar for more adds. When they pop, clear them and repeat. It will take much longer but it should also insure you have the absolute least amount of adds while dismantling the mines. Good luck!
