I don't feel like going to level 40, just like in other games like borderlands or cod where the grind lasts forever to reach master prestige and level 70, each level taking longer and longer. I would be ok with more levels if there was a mission to go with each one but let's be honest, bungie won't do that. And remember that time you reached level 20 and then you were like "wow this is so cool, I can use all this cool armour that boosts my level!" Light levels were a very unique feature in destiny and they are removing it. Destiny is going to mainstream and I doubt I'll be buying TTK for that amazingly high price..
Edit- most of you are idiots. Why would you want to grind a game by doing the same missions and crucible over and over. Just go play cod if you want a repetitive experience with literally 500-1000 levels of grinding, each one harder than the next!
Edit- If the game started like this it would of been dead by now, let's be honest because other games like this already exist.

The light level system always seemed incredibly awkward and counter-intuitive to me. Glad they are getting rid of it.

1 RespuestaActual level progression is a good thing. Not based on RNG whether or not you level up. Day 1 players know the struggle of forever 29, I was there. Now we can play a lot and actually get rewarded by gaining experience rather than play for 4 hours and run the risk of getting absolutely nothing.
-
1 RespuestaHint: using armor that has light to level up is bad. It forces everyone to look the same.
-
"Light level" was a stupid idea to begin with. Good riddance! I should be able to reach level 34 with ANY armor I choose.

Good riddance to Light Levels. You won't be missed by me.
-
2 RespuestasI'm glad the levelling system is being changed, I've never been fond of the light system.
-
Light levels were a mistake. Requiring the use of certain items to reach higher ranks drains any depth from the loot pool and highlights how shallow the previous content offerings are. I'm quite pleased light levels are done with.

Where is the meh option

OP is as dumb as the light level system

Light levels were a terrible and confusing idea.

7 RespuestasJust shut up. You don't know the meaning of grind until you've got to level 81 on skyrim.
-
Why would you want to level up with RNG rather than a legit leveling system?
-
The elimination of light levels is a good decision by bungie in my book. They're giving people a reason to play. To level up now you just have to do a few activities and BAM you're max level. It's boring. I personally love the feeling of leveling up in any game via XP. It gives you a sense of accomplishment like "I worked hard to get where I am" not "I played for 2 hours and got some gear and ascended it"
-
So I am hearing: "I am too lazy to play this game, bungie plz give me max level day one" Why are you even playing this game if you don't want to grind?
-
1 RespuestaNah. Light was dumb.
-
Light was a stupid idea that blocked out loyal Destiny Players from getting to max level due to RNG.
-
You have obviously never played an rpg lmao
-
Lol vanilla was rediculous and poor planning of light levels brought on why people made 3 of the same character. Or at least gave some a reason for it. I liked the idea but they really made then irrelevant in How anyways. This is a good step imo.
-
No way! This is the way the game should have been from day 1
-
Editado por Jio: 8/5/2015 6:34:30 PMLight level was a terrible concept because progression was not within your control. You "leveled up" if you were lucky enough to obtain gear with higher light values. In HOW, it was dumbed down with armor cores and Etheric light. The way they're changing level progression allows everyone the chance to reach max level if they put in the time. We only need to grind for better armor for improved defense values. They're giving us more control over progression, and that is definitely my favorite change. I will participate in the "King's Fall" raid mainly for fun now.
-
Level should never have been tied to gear, that was ridiculous. They needed from the start to be two independent progression paths. Level so your base stats/damage/whatever are good enough to be able to fight the same level baddies, and gear to prepare you for the tougher (but still same level) baddies. You can still use a gear baseline to allow access or not to your group - must have 2k+ armor or something, but the levels won't be tied to gear and hopefully everyone won't look like clones of each other.
-
Editado por Roughneck: 8/5/2015 7:38:24 PMLight levels on gear is by far the hands-down absolute worst sorry excuse of a leveling system I have ever experienced in a game. It equates to grinding for a grind. Grind squared (sts).

1 RespuestaSo destiny is for entertainment If you take out light levels, Destiny will take more time, more time for payers to play
-
1 Respuestayour argument is against grinding yet you already do that right now
