Banning off of players reports
It kind of sucks to know that the banning system was set off of bans by other players. I've been reported and notified countless times lol but I don't even know what I lag switch is. I'm just good at crucible like a lot of people are . I wasn't always good I worked my way up and struggled. I feel bad for the innocent that were banned off of nothing but playing good and being reported by jealous players that can't accept defeat.

The in game report system is used to draw their attention to potential cheaters. Bungie then investigates the account and will only ban the account if they are certain cheating (or any rule breaking) took place.

Nobody got banned off of reports alone. Unless Bungie out right lied about how it was handled.

3 RespuestasThey don't ban just because of a report. They review the profile in question and determine whether or not they were cheating by looking for connection inconsistencies and patterns caused by network manipulation.
