Sign HERE if you have decided to not use TLW/thorn
I have decided to take the road less traveled. I will not give in to the peer pressure that is the exotic hand cannon. These weapons have boosted my kd to the 15+/25+ range
on countless occasions. So, why do I not want to use them? The answer is relatively simple; they dumb down real skill. Now before everyone gets really offended because they all use these weapons or feel that my justification is wrong, just realize this; TLW has massive room for error. It only takes 3 headshots to kill someone but it can fire almost 3 times that amount in the same time it takes a legendary hand cannon, say Jewel of Osiris, to fire 3. Not only is this unfair, it allows bad players to get away with many more mistakes. Thorn on the other hand also has its share of crutches.
The dot dmg alone is contestable. How many times have you guardians made a clutch play only to be final rounded by a player that has to exploit perks to get ahead, in a video game nonetheless? The thorn has become the noob tube and its frankly annoying. I have watched friends of mine go negative 2/5 games and after picking up a thorn, guess what?! Its a miracle! They are going positive with about 10-12 more kills per game! Its rediculous! They say things like " oh man, thorn really fixed my gameplay!" I respond "no, you finally graduated to full on noob."
If youre still here after my aggravated ramblings about weapons i will not continue to use, realize this; I know that the game is not balanced and that people will use whatever they can to get ahead, but I will not be one of them. Im not asking for a nerf or a buff, im simply taking the honorable road paved with real weapon skill.

5 RespuestasSigned over all signatures with Thorn!!! Be honest. The gun is good. One of the best. As soon as you decide not to use it or ask for a nerf or something else the next op gun will kill you. Balance in a game is difficult and bungie is doing great.

Been using last word since November it's my baby I can't stop using it. Unless they buff auto rifles so I can use my grim citizen

i used to use them for the hand cannon bounty, but stopped after falling back in love with my devil you know hand cannon

Screw honour. I use a scout rifle because it is fun! Zero Point LOTP. My OP weapon of choice is Invective. Special ammo crate? What's that?

2 RespuestasI get what your saying and I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't really think it has anything to do with honor imo. I'm not great at crucible but I play this game for fun, most of the time I like MIDA but you can't deny how much fun TLW is to use. If someone is having fun abusing thorn then i don't care, more power to them, yeah it's annoying but it's whatever. Besides the crucible is no place for mercy.

Pulse rifles are better anyway.

I use Praedyth's Timepiece. Love the high RoF pulse rifles. Especially with the absurd stability it has. Depending on the map I'll use a super rifle or Invective.

So do you want a cookie or something? If you don't want to use the weapons, don't. We don't need 50 threads a day of people looking for a pat on the back for not using a certain weapon.

They are not good enough for me to pull out in PVE vs a scout rifle and I only PVP until I had Thorn, Invective, Bad Juju.

1 RespuestaAgreed, I'm not that good at crucible, and I use tlw, but I absolutely agree. I think the same about shotguns, from now on I'll probably use the mida cause it's hard, and lots of fun in a way
