Mission status: complete
Objective: locate Ghost team Phantom[/b]
Pavel hated this part. They were high in the air over igneous, in a transport aircraft. They were undetected so far and had to maintain this altitude to stay that way. He hadn't got much sleep, that reoccurring nightmare still plagued him. He looked at the people assembled for the jump. Each wore harness for the parachutes that they would jump with. The thought made his head spin. He hated falling, it was his greatest irrational fear.

[i]"so? Ready to fly Pavel?"[/i]

He sighs. "I don't mind flying, I can pilot a ship fairly well. It's the falling that does me in."

[i]"don't worry, you get used to it. So, stealth recovery op? What's the Tac Map reading?"[/i]

"No hostiles as of yet, the drop zone is clear."

[i]"alright then, let's drop.'[/i]

They descend for several minutes before piping their chutes. They land in the forest below, narrowly missing the limbs of the trees. The battle net updates with the waypoint showing the missing team's last known location.

[b]he silently lands in the center of the formation.[/b] [i]"waypoint shows a small building, light security it seems. Is it just me or are the cultists always pulling back their forces? Well, if that's the case, it probably means they got something big coming up. And that can't be good.'[/i]

"Agreed, let's move to the building. If my men are here that's where they are." The group proceeds towards it.

[i]he flew above the structure, using his stealth drive to remain out of sight. With quick, precise, well placed shots, he took out most of the guards, leaving some for the Ghosts.[/i]

They stacked up on the door and entered. Catching all three guards by surprise. The security room now only held TF assets.

[b]he entered through the door.[/b] [i]"what do we got?"[/i]

"Security room, door over there leads further in, you take point."

Pavel gives the go ahead for the breach and the group enters, taking the guards by surprise.

[b]takes down two of them with repulsor blasts[/b]

The third is killed by pepper. The ghosts enter the room and search it.

[i]"found our missing team?"[/i]

"Not yet, still more of the building though." The team stacks up on the door to the lab. They enter, find the bodies and the scientist destroying files.

[b]he fires a repulsor blast at the scientist. He falls to the ground.[/b] [i]"that shot wasn't lethal. We can bring him in for questioning."[/i]

Pavel nods. " you get him, I'll carry my men." The team searches for Intel and Carries the dead to the LZ.

[b]he carries the scientist to the L.Z. and waits for evac. Once back inside the craft, he steps towards Pavel.[/b] [i]"hey, so, I wanted to ask you something..."[/i]

"Yeah?" Pavel shifts the weight of the dead man over his shoulder.

[i]"well, you're the first person who've I've seen since my time on Terra. And, you've pretty much the closest thing I could call a friend. So, I wanted to ask you, will you be my best man?"[/i]

Pavel wipes the sweat from his brow. "Sure man, when's the..."

[i]"it's still a matter up for debate."[/i] [b]he takes away the head piece and smiles[/b]
