My connection is excellent, yet I sometimes go red. It has never stopped anyone killing me!
When you start green, turn red when attacking or being attacked, you are either cheating or have impeccable internet connection degradation timing. I say cheating! If you are occasionally lagging, that is the system, when immortal, you are cheating.
Lag is intermittent and rarely timed to your opponent's proximity. That is cheating, not lagging and everyone is now aware. The excuses continue to mount, but the activity continues. Nothing will change. Bungie will ban and nothing will change.
How do you know that 'Flawless' emblem was earned honestly? That's right, you don't. I am sure a lot were honestly earned, but most weren't. So, what do they actually represent? Exactly...

I'm nearly always in red, I'll rarely get a game with yellow, think I've had about 5 games where I've kept a green connection since destiny launched. I know my internet sucks, but there's a difference between that and cheating. But yes, if it's intermittent and timed a little too perfectly, maybe something's going on, maybe.

Maybe? Only electronics can time electronics that coincidentally.

Maybe. Some games I play are so variable with connection that for a few minutes I can kill everyone with no problem, then it will flip and I can't even get a hitmarker. Other games are more consistent. Other games I just get error codes. Not sure man, maybe they're cheating, maybe they aren't. If they are I hope they get caught and banned. Simple as that.

When I am red I am never invincible. I have run into players who take 4 shotgun head shots point blank to kill. One took 4 rounds from 3 of us each before he demonstrated any damage. He was invincible the entire game and had 30:1 K/D at the end. No character has that much armor. No character walks through a direct rocket blast with no damage and kills everyone! He did! That is a cheat, period.

Yeah well, could be. I've played games where some people I can't hurt at all, and others it feels like I'm green bar. This is honestly the laggiest PvP I've ever played, but I love the game. So I shall play anyway.

I love Iron Banner do I continue to play that. Will never do ToO. None of the rewards are worth equipment replacement costs again...
-
I just do Trials to help others now, and I enjoy the competitive feel. Iron Banner is usually too laggy for me to even play. :/

It is a real shame that the system setup allowed so much cheating before Bungie intervened. It is ridiculous! I don't know how they can call it 'competitive' when cheating was the normal! I have to weigh my reward against the aggravation and it is not worth it to me... I love Destiny, but it's creators had something else in mind when they set it up this way. I don't know what that was, but fair play was not on the list!

Yeah, it almost feels like we're beta testing their PVP to find exploits. Aha. By the way, nice to actually have an intelligent conversation in this thread (though I am enjoying all the hate).

I appreciate the exchange. Too many times all u get is garbage. That is only allowed on Tuesdays for that is my pickup day! I believe they have a winning game, but, recent changes have made me wonder. Balancing weapons when PVP is virtually unplayable if you are honest! HOW and POE weapons, recolored day - weapons with crappy percs! Nerfing all autorifles because they made one great one (Suros)! Trials of Osiris when servers are so cheat prone! Doing anything other than fixing real playability problems! There is a lot of disappointment in the veteran player base. Most would voice it here, but, the caustic replies prevent it. It is unfortunate for these forums are for that purpose...
