So, I won't be buying redbull for the code considering they're being stolen left and right, is there any kinda action being taken towards those that stole a code? Is there even a way to find out?
And for those that have been given a code that was stolen lol, that might kinda suck...
Edit-- these forums are a cesspool...somehow, for some reason, this post triggered something in a few people that compelled them to post rude comments. Love the youth these days. Such a shame.

2 RespuestasYou shouldn't even drink redbull. It's hella bad for you and makes you fat.

3 RespuestasShitty situation made worse by shitty people. However, my first can failed me, but the next week it did not. Redbull seems to have a finite supply of codes that they just keep refreshing each week or so. You might want to try any code you've been given again at a later date.

They're all gone I think because stupid idiots are being selfish

3 RespuestasThis is bad. I'm very upset. I have a golf ball size brain tumor. I cannot leave my home. I paid my neighbor 20 bucks to pick up 4red bulls (I knew about the issue) none of them worked. Red bull is giving me a bey hard time about it. I'm sent them a picture of every single can. Even the 7-11 pizza box he bought for me. He didn't keep the receipt. Didn't think he needed to. My brother felt bad and got a 2 red bulls with codes that worked. I don't even drink red bull because I get sick. But shouldn't have to buy 6 cans to get a code or 2. Wasn't the consumers fault.

1 RespuestaIt isn't stealing if you aren't required to purchase the drink to get the code.

No way to find whether a code was stolen or not. Unfortunate
-
0% possibility to identify stolen codes.

5 RespuestasTheft is theft, stop trying to justify it

I drink redbull and decided I'd buy some of the Destiny ones. I've had likes 10 red bulls since the codes and shit came not one has been stolen.
-
4 RespuestasThere is nothing that will happen. Bungie is basically saying redbull screwed up and under estimated smart, cheap and geeky gamers are. The codes were to easy, 8 characters codes 6 numbers 2 letters. Destiny had no problem giving everyone this content. redbull paid bungie to give out those codes however they choose. Stop being such a goody two shoes. Nothing was stolen. Give always like these are no purchase necessary anyway. There is some stupid federal law that prevents sales of products through the sales of another. Your are not any better than anyone else #sorrynotsorry

6 RespuestasThere's no way to track the codes once they left. No way to know if someone guessed it, stole a can, or bought a can. They were morons for making the codes so short.
-
It's a shame how simple the codes are to 'bypass' - If it was much more complex with far more numerals and letters, we wouldn't have this problem. Even worse players go out to get a can with the code, try to redeem it and find out it's already been redeemed. I don't live in the US and I don't even consider or want to easily get one of these code because I don't want to scam someone out there for a code.

5 RespuestasGet over it m80

If you have a stolen code, just take a pic of the receipt and mail redbull, should get a new code
-
No way to find out the codes are randomly generated and not stored So they have no idea if they were actually bought or not Even those product license keys get hacked and they are stored and are 24 characters long They should have a code in the receipt to scan

Someone would have to buy a can, enter the code, not get it, get angry on the phone or whatever then redbull would have to have a list of bungie codes that were illegitimately obtained, send it to bungie who would have to find out who entered it then issue warnings/bans. So pretty much nothings going to happen especially since it seems a lot of people have done this and banning a significant amount of people seems detrimental to the game. One one hand, it's not cool if some kid buys a red bull and doesn't get anything from that can of garbage other than a heart attack but on the other brand tie-ins are stupid and I'm glad this happened.

2 RespuestasAll three 7-11 in my area are sold out of them right after they are stocked. I had no idea so many people in my neighborhood played Destiny. I guess it could be like one wealthy weirdo that is buying several hundred cans at a time.
-
11 RespuestasI heard DeeJ is currently touring every 7-11 in the U.S. To take stock of all the codes currently out there, they're then gonna cross reference that with their Excel spreadsheet of used codes to find anybody that has stolen a code. This is why there was no weekly update yesterday, true fact.

3 RespuestasThis one is really on them. Easy code that got figured out really quickly. Some gamers are pretty switched on, who knew! I, for one, disagree with the whole thing as a promotion. I live in England. No 7/11 here. I honestly would feel the same if it was a Spar shop promotion (assuming they don't have Spar in the US). It just seems like a very strange direction to go in. I don't know. I'm not really in the mood for forming a coherent argument, apologies for wasting everyone's time by even commenting at all.

8 RespuestasWhat I don't understand is why people are buying red bulls for the code. It's $2+ for 30 minutes of boosted xp
