Anyone else feel this way? Between light switch the essence burn and the cap zones it's just plain not worth the time for the paltry rewards
Am I in the minority here?
On a side note I do feel like it was better when it had burns.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for this by some and that's ok because whatever, the internet.
**edit
Wow I went to bed and woke up apparently I'm not alone, glad to hear it. Maybe Bungie will see this.

1 RespuestaDid it the last week of burns. Really have no desire to do it again. Like you said, nothing you receive is worth the aggravation or time.
-
I did it 3 times when it was solar burn. I haven't touched it since. I got my 3 elder ciphers and I never had to do it again.
-
Definitely not. Especially since etheric light will be useless after ttk. I'll never do skolas if lightswitch is on.
-
Yes he is

5 RespuestasStill not done him yet. Need to do it for MoT. Running out of time quickly.

3 RespuestasEditado por Slackerr_26: 8/25/2015 10:13:08 AMAgreed. After the first time once you get all the exclusive items, it really loses its draw. I've done it 8 or 9 times by now, and I've only gotten one weapon to drop outside of the Cipher bounty (void Wolves Leash, love it). I've only seen one other elemental primary drop for another person on another run, but that's it. Two weapons that I've personally seen rewarded in all that time spent actually doing it. The drop rate is really terrible compared to raids or strikes/crucible. I'm not saying an arc Six Dreg is as good as a Fatebringer, but it would definitely be nice to get rewarded more regularly for a 35 completion outside of the preset rewards. Its not even that the encounter is difficult per se, since once you know the system and have good communication its not very hard to be successful. Its just that it takes so much time to actually complete from start to finish, only to not actually be rewarded with something new at the end.

Editado por Liberty WaIk: 9/13/2015 9:27:40 AMI will post again.. Lol I only did it for the elemental primaries. I was lucky to get ones with rare perks that were decent. I think in all I got 14 or 15 elemental primaries and like 20 elder cyphers over the months. I maybe leveled up 4 or 5 of them and sharded the rest. Most folks didn't get the primaries or as many as some of us so they quit. Honestly you can speed through it in under an hour. I beat it over 40 times and I had fun. 3 weeks in a row I did get the elemental primaries so to me it was worth it. I would use a fire hand cannon over fatebringer in some of the nightfalls and it did better obviously so not all the weapons were crap. But no the weapons along with trials weapons are useless in pve now since ttk is here.
-
I definitely didn't enjoy it. Maybe when I'm level 40 I'll do it again with my other characters for the cipher. I got the LoW so in in no hurry to get the other 2.
-
1 RespuestaWow you're just finding out now
-
1 RespuestaYea I stopped after I got my cyphers cause I didn't know they also dropped on 34. It's not worth the etherized light since its bit that hard to come by. Weapons are not as good as upgraded VOG weapons. Probably a good reason that year 1 weapons won't be able to be ascended. They just made the VOG weapons too good
-
I stopped caring about killing him after getting all 3 cipher weapons. Also apparently you can't get rid of an elder cipher as Variks will continue to give it to you. Fix?
-
I lost all interest after I got all EC weapons
-
Isnt that obvious?
-
Nope, but at least you've done it. Not many have.
-
Realized this few weeks after how drops wouldn't take a a single gun from skolas there nothing special to them to make them any mor viable then big or Crotas weapons hell even vendor weapons or more useful cuz the can be reroll to the perks you want the armour sucks so bad and looks even worse and I never not once used one in piece in Poe as easy enough already crucible has been only thing last few weeks I've played
-
4 RespuestasYou obviously didn't get the lord of wolves
-
Stopped doing skolas after the burns were gone and I only killed him once after and I got nothin...
-
Well he's still a bit of a challenge so there's that going for us.
-
I got the Shader and Emblem. But that's not why I played to beat him. The only thing that pushed me was to complete the Moments of Triumph.
-
Skolas serves two purposes: Moments of Triumph rewards; Elder Ciphers X3. Once you have the LoW, QB and DP, you are fine. Etheric light and weapons/armor are now obsolete. Save the ammo...

4 RespuestasThis week it's brawler not lightswitch.
-
I agree, but I had a few people ask me to run then through it for their Triumph. They chose the wrong week for it. Got all of them knocked out though.
-
I got 2 of my ciphers from doing 34s. I did Skolas once for the year 1 goals. No need to go back unless a friend needs help
-
4 RespuestasI did Skolas 3 times this week and got 3 elder ciphers, I'll probably do 35 again this week on my 3 characters to grind out the bounties but after that I'm not sure I'll do it again. My reward for the last one I did was 2 Motes of Light and 2 Strange Coins. I can get that from from the 28.
