This post is focused on providing feedback for the Husk of the Pit's chance to drop, and my feedback is that the chances are terribly low. I think I speak for everyone in saying that an increase in the Husk's chance to drop will improve players' Destiny experience. The whereabouts of the Husk is a constant question on the #help forums. Each day, a player asks if the Husk still drops. Each day, a player asks what does he or she need to do to obtain this ultra-rare auto rifle. If you raise the weapon's chance to drop, those questions will diminish greatly. Let us not forget that the Husk is just the beginning of the journey to the Necrochasm, which also requires players to achieve rank 3 with Eris Morn, grind hundreds of Hive kills, and obtain another rare item, the Crux of Crota. Think of the Husk just like the treasure keys. When the treasure keys wouldn't drop in the Ether chests, people flooded the forums with posts. In response, the chance of getting a key was increased, and keys were provided through other means, i.e. Petra's bounties, on a consistent basis. These posts concerned with treasure keys are gone, and players are mostly content. Farming the Husk is just as similar, you go back and forth to the same area over and over hoping for something to drop. Most of time, it doesn't. I'm not asking for a guaranteed Husk from killing the Blade, but I do think that there needs to be a change. Furthermore, it is disruptive because the Husk currently drops in one mission from only one enemy. As a player who has killed over 2000 Blades of Crota in over 40 hours (and there are many more similar to me), I think it's completely legitimate to ask for an increase. Nota Bene: I understand that the general consensus is that the Necrochasm is a low-end auto rifle. Nevertheless, I, along with many others, want to obtain the Husk, and by extension the Necrochasm, in order to complete my collection and satisfy the Grimoire card's requirement. IN SHORT: The chance for Husk of the Pit to drop is extremely low. It is disrupting many players' Destiny experience. I, along with many others, have spent dozens of hours replaying the Fist of Crota. The chance that it drops needs to be increased.
