So why can't I stop playing it? I even went so far as to finally get it on PlayStation because Id done everything on Xbox. Every achievement, 3 34s, every exotic. Never really gave a shit about grimoire.
Only games I can think of putting more time into than Destiny are Skyrim and Borderlands 2, both of which have 500x more content.
So why can't I just stop playing this game?
I just got ESO so I'm hoping that'll kill my being hooked until TTK comes out and sucks me back in.
EDIT: I would just like to add this for those that are saying they can't believe I wasted so much money buying it on both.
I had a $20 gift card that I got as a gift. And the TTK pack with Destiny, both expansions, and TTK, is $60. With the coupon, it was $40.
Same price if Id bought TTK on Xbox. So it isn't particularly like I wasted money.
It was a seamless transfer from Xbox to PlayStation, minus having to restart the grind.
Additionally, my wording above may have made it sound like I play this game 24/7. That is absolutely not the case. When it first came out, I probably played 3 or 4 hours a day. Now, I maybe play it for a half hour to an hour a day. My point is that usually by this point in a games life, especially one so lacking in content, I've stopped playing entirely and moved on to other games. But Destiny keeps on pulling me back.

1 RespuestaEditado por sola gratia: 7/5/2015 6:04:54 PMThe game is pretty fucking mediocre, there is no reason for someone to be addicted to this pile of garbage.

8 RespuestasEditado por W34KN35S: 7/5/2015 1:16:18 PMIt's because this game is a gambling simulation lol, it's sad but it's the truth. The rng aspect triggers the gambling portion of our brain that we are addicted too, it gives us hope that all the pain and suffering we go through playing this game isn't for nothing and that things will work out and you will get a new shiny weapon or piece of armor I've already accepted this but ask yourself truly why you play, to get good gear right ? Why do you need good gear? So you can play the game for a chance at more good gear? It's and endless cycle of getting gear only for the sake of using that gear to acquire more gear but why lol.all this I already know and I accept it and still play , just wanted to share my opinion.

i bought ESO and it finally pulled me out of the destiny grind and into a different kind of it. it has so much to do you could get lost and never complete the main story . the down side is it has no guns and i love guns i need guns and thats when destinys reset day scratches that itch.

A mixture of a near perfect combat model combined with there always being something you could do. As others have said, it has been designed to hook you. Just wait till they start fleecing you with microtransactions. I think we need a support group!

And you came to this forum to post this!

1 RespuestaDestiny and Crack are the same thing. You get addicted and end up playing because you feel you have to, take a step back and play another game for a while. You might find that Destiny isn't as good as you first thought.
-
...it's a well put together gambling simulator (RNG any1?), that's why

6 RespuestasYou don't hate it, you love it. You, like most other clowns on this site, think claiming to hate your favorite shit makes you cool.
-
Your story reads like a wet dream for Activision executives. Not only do you say you have a lack of self control, if not the desire not to play, but you also admit buying it on both consoles.
-
You hate it because you love it... well good luck until ttk

Because the design of the game and movement of the characters are awesome, it's all the bad decisions they've done with weapons and crap that make it horrible. Take powers for example in pvp, their thinking, "give the guy who is kicking everybody's butt his super power earlier and more often." A better way, handicap the best to make it fun for more

ESO is....amazing. I have not touched destiny from want...I've been forced by other friends to assist them. I suggest making a few friends for ESO. Kinda boring out there by yourself just questing. I'm running with a 4 man crew at all times and have had better times already than all of my time in destiny. Actual dungeons. Pvp is....massive. Like 100 emotes and costumes for down time orgies... The game is....massive. Overwhelming almost.

ESO is solid. Havent touched Destiny since it launched. Massive. Lag free. So damn fun.

It is dealing with your brain lol Something always give you fun is getting bored it is because your brain starting to close dopamine receptor. However, destiny We are not always getting fun. So our brain dosen't close dopamine receptor. So you get somehow funny things happen in the destiny. It would be fun anyways.

Naw. ESO sucks.

Same! I might be addicted no joke. I just bought arkham knight, which I've been hyped about for a while now, and tried playing it but I just went right back to destiny! What's my problem?! I always find a reason to play destiny.
