Just wondering what everyone's favorite band is and what everyone's favorite song is.
(Will be using this thread to discover new music.)
My favorite band is Foster The People as I believe Mark Foster delivers extremely deep messages that have really helped me with a slightly dark childhood I have under my belt.
My favorite song is Chin Music For The Unsuspecting Hero by Foster The People, because the song kinda helped me speak when I couldn't find the words to (if that makes any sense.). It just holds a very very deep meaning and special place in my heart and I do not know how to describe it.

Editado por Moolah4me: 7/4/2015 2:21:59 PMI listen to rap so I don't like any band since everyone is a solo artist. Right now my favorite song is probably Lord Knows or R.I.C.O off Meek Mill's new album. Trap Queen is up there too

The doors The end Not sure. Love the guitar in it and Jim Morrisons voice is probably my favorite in music history. Plus it was basically the theme song to one of my favorite movies

Johnny Cash: Ring of Fire. And if I need to list the genre, I'll facepalm.

3 RespuestasFall Out Boy: Call me mainstream but I like this band because of how damn good they are. FoB have been around for 14 years and not one of their songs have been bad. Each song tells a story (particularly songs from the Save Rock and Roll album) and a song that tells a story 110% trumps a song about getting high and eating pussy for no apparent reason. Sugar we're goin' down: I like this song cause it can speak to a lot of people who are in love with girls that are way out of their league or already have a SO. It's also really good sounding and fun to listen to. The lyrics also (sometimes) make me wanna scream 'Oh bby.'

Editado por Mr z MillZzY: 6/29/2015 11:48:11 PMI have a strange taste in music... In the past year I've got into Fall Out Boy (especially their older albums).. Imagine Dragons have been a big one too (Their new album is on point).. Also very recently "Boys like Girls" is a band I'm taking interest in.. However I like more emotional artists like Ben Howard, James Bay and Passenger (The latter sings one of my favourite songs Patient Love).. "And though the sand may be washed by the sea And the old will be lost in the new Well four will not wait for three For three never waited for two And though you will not wait for me I'll wait for you" Yet I like dance tunes with good beats from Calvin Harris and Avicci... In all honesty, a song is not separated by a genre for me. If it's lyrics are relatable and tune is passionate, I'll always find myself tapping along or humming the tune.. (Except screamo lol)

Editado por Berezyn: 6/29/2015 7:44:51 AMMy favorite band would have to be: Staind, mainly a hard rock, metal, post-grunge-sounding band. Aaron Lewis just has a more emotional scream in Break the Cycle. Shame he went country though, but good for him for going for new sound. The story in his albums are pretty much preparing me for that kind of hardship as well as relating to some other stupid bullshit. Amirite? .. favorite song on the other hand: Blurry by Puddle of Mudd, another post-grunge, post-hardcore rock band. The harmonics on the guitar, throughout the intro and to the end are soothing. Also nostalgia :b

1 RespuestaGreen Day. Jesus of Suburbia. All of their music speaks to me on an emotional level and it's what I listen to whenever I'm having an anxiety attack or am feeling depressed and the song because it reminds me of my life struggles.
