Im sorry but I along with many others remember reading this. And it's quoted exactly as it was written. The [i]article writer[/i] inferred that Deej was going to reveal our rewards, which you also inferred, and is not what Deej said. Actually, all the writer said was "...an announcement with regard...". Nowhere in the quotes or articles does Deej ever say "I'm going to reveal your extra reward this weekly update." Get your facts straight.

Ok, understandable given the source material. But there [b]was[/b] a forum post, deej commented on it and he said those words 'weekly update/something better'. I am not trying to argue with you friend, but we all know what we read (those of us that read it) and it was implied that it would be in this weekly update. He didn't say future updates he said weekly update, which we were waiting on. All my point is, is that he shouldn't say things like that, given current circumstances, and then completely avoid it altogether. You're right with your reply, but I am also right because I read the original post and know what I had read.

He says pretty frequently to tune into the next update for more. It's a typical sign off. That doesn't really imply the contents of what he's going to talk about the next update, just that there will be more things he'll talk about. And he actually did, just not much. Odds are they thought they'd have a decision by today but they didn't, so they didn't commit to an answer today because neither yesterday nor the day before were they sure what to do.

I'm guessing you didn't read the original post that deej made, otherwise you'd understand the point I was making. Before any weekly updates concerning current events I.e part 1/2, deej said we'd get something better, and it was heavily implied by his words that it would be explained in the upcoming update. It was his own words, I'm not illiterate and I know what I read. I wasn't clinging on to some little fanboy hope and nor am I complaining now, I'm just saying it was wrong of deej to imply what he implied. Surely why you can see why there's backlash off a large part of the community who saw the same thing....or maybe we're all uneducated fools who can't read as well as you can....

It comes across to me as saying tune into the update to hear more. While he didn't exactly give us any details, he DID acknowledge our concerns and said they were working hard on a solution. If that's not getting more, I don't know what "more" means.

True, I'm glad that they at least acknowledged the backlash and Luke smith made an apology. Personally I was [i]actually[/i] happy with the updates, again I was just trying to point out why people would again lash out going off that original post. Sorry I dragged it out and explained it arse over tit, currently im sat with a teething baby who will not sleep and I'm reading the forums while I feed her, I'm tired and my replies haven't exactly been intelligent (just re-read them). Honestly not trying to troll you/argue. Just failing to get across an actual point in my tiredness. Long story short, yes I agree. And sorry.

Implication, however near-certain, is still not a guarantee. My original post was assuming a guarantee had been made, which wasn't the case. That's why I did the right thing and edited it. [spoiler]I still completely agree with your assessment, though.[/spoiler]

But I'll humor you with an exact quote from Deej's part 1 update yesterday: [quote] And we’ll have more fun stuff for you to announce in the very short term future, just for you.[/quote] Where's the part he said they were telling us what we'd be getting specifically in [i]today's[/i] update? Go read it, and the comment he made days before that about things to come if you must. What was the promise for today, because I see on my screen the words "the usual fanfare" and "a word from our support team". The real face value is the words he actually wrote, not what people infer and imagine from them.

Implications and inferences are not statements of fact. They never said it was going to be revealed this particular update to begin with, so no, they didn't "dodge" a bullet, they never committed to specific announcement from the start. All they're doing is taking their time to say they're aware of the frustrations and are going to come up with a solution soon. That's all they've said.
