So you do the right thing and decide to allow people to buy the items in the form of separate DLC, but you are gonna sell them for the same price as your -blam!-ing "Expansions"?
Are you -blam!-ing serious?
3 emotes, 3 class items and 3 shaders.
$20?
Get. The. -blam!-. Out. Of. Here.
How on gods green earth are you gonna justify that. You are charging HALF of what you claim amounts to a "Full Game" of content for 6 almost purely cosmetic items.
And on top of that this is supposed to somehow be your apology? If so you are AWFUL at apologies.
How is it that we should pay the price of a full "Expansion" for 6 cosmetic items?
I keep waiting for Bungie to pick itself up and get back on track, but you guys are simply wandering farther and farther into the grave that you have dug yourself.
I accept Luke Smith's apology. He was an asshat and he admitted that he was an asshat. I am okay with that, but to look us in the eyes and say "Oh we are so sorry. Please pay us the price of an "Expansion" for these cosmetic items"
You guys have lost your minds and whatever self respect you had left.
Upvote if you think that $20 is WAY too much for what they are offering.

Editado por Green Arrow NZ: 6/26/2015 3:25:33 AMBump. Your post sums it up nicely. It is borderline criminal that they are charging for it at all. I understand charging for maps, strikes, raids etc. But charging for cosmetic items is a slap in the face to the loyal fan base. The fact that you have to essentially repurchase the old content to get TTK is a joke. TTK should be $20 USD and the collectors edition content should be no more than $5 USD.

Editado por Amishboy2011: 6/25/2015 11:18:06 PMI think it's more than worth it, 9 bonuses for $20, that's a little over 2 dollars each. In wow, its $10 for a single pet. Now compared to maybe skins in CoD it is a little more, but the fact that people think we're being "overcharged" does not clearly understand microtransactions. (Which is essentially what this collectors edition is.) Also on another note, I've bought collectors editions of games for $80 that have less than this. In my opinion, absolutely worth, and I will buy when the upgrade edition is available.
-
In other games special cosmetic items are usually $2 a piece, and there are nine here so that makes $18 by other games' standards.

4 RespuestasSome people will never be happy.
-
If you aren't happy don't cry about it with a biased poll
-
Around $2.22 for each of 9 items I think it's fair because in cod camos costed about $2 each
-
At least they tried

2 RespuestasEditado por Drrtbag: 6/25/2015 3:59:12 PMIf you don't agree on the price point, don't buy it then. You said yourself they're useless cosmetic items anyways. All this crying about bungies pricing is so stupid. In real life, when something is overpriced and you think it's undervalued you simply don't buy it. You don't run to some forum crying like a baby.

It's time to draw everyones attention to another popular game called league of legends. now this game is free and supports it's self entirely by re skins of existing champions for about $10 a piece. Now for me that's way too much money for some non game changing artwork, but for others they feel it is entirely worth it. Point is I am not the demographic they are selling those skins to and you are not the demographic that bungie is selling the digital collectors addition to. Tldr: would you like a Ford gt 500? Are you pissed that they don't market that car to your demographic? You are not the customer this was made for get over it.
-
Don't buy it then.

12 RespuestasDo some math. The CE is $80 and the Legendary Edition (with all content from day one) is $60. The only difference between those two is the exclusive items. Therefore the price is $20. Besides, if they sold it for $5 everyone who stepped up and paid $80 for the CE would rightfully feel screwed. They could have just waited and bought the $40 TTK and the upgrade to get the same thing and paid less. People whined for days about wanting a way to buy the exclusive items without having to repurchase previous content. Bungie does that at a price that keeps things fair for everyone, including the people who already bought the CE, and people still complain. That's the Entitlement Generation for you.
-
Editado por Temyar: 6/25/2015 3:41:41 PMWhere is the "I don't care about this, stop whining" option? Even if it was $5 I still wouldn't buy it. Not because I'm cheep, but I don't feel the needs to be validated by my peers through cosmetic details. So any amount of money for cosmetic items is unreasonable for me Oh you have a cool dance that not a lot of people have? Congratulations, you must feel special. Unless it has an actual impact on my game play, I could absolutely care less about any of it. The +exp class items are the only thing in the whole bundle that would be any sort of useful or have value. But once you're max level and spending 90% of game time in end have content it's useless. So really, why pay any thing for any of it?
-
They took a step in the right direction. They acknowledged that there was a problem. They then reduced the price. They also apologized for the remarks. He did say once he took an outsiders perspective of the interview he realized how bad he sounded. If people are that unhappy , don' buy it if you feel it's not worth it. Value in something is always different from person to person or in this case player to player. If you don't feel it's worth your $20 then you have the right to not purchase the product and just get the $40 TK expansion. Seriously though people are just logging into the forums to complain these days.

23 RespuestasWhy hasn't this been addressed yet in the weekly update or anything, it's disgustingly greedy and an insult to our intelligence. I've seen BUNGIE's true colours they don't care about the fan base, why would they when they can just rinse them. I'm guessing the emotes for UK will be £20, which is ridiculous, so pay £40 for taken king then £20 for 9 items which is £60, but the collectors edition includes everything for £55. Do they pull these numbers out of their arse, but this isn't just the UK , it's everything outside America. It also becomes more apparent with this red bull promo items, which appears at the moment to be America only. Outside America everyone has been mugged off, we look stupid for buying any expansion. Don't worry as like smith said he only deals in dollars, ignorant -blam!-.

1 RespuestaEditado por Crott117: 6/25/2015 2:33:45 PM20 cigarettes for $8.00 what the -blam!- Marlboro - go -blam!- yourselves - don't you care about your customers? (i realize a lot of that is tax but IDGAF)
-
3 Respuestas$15 if you want to be reasonably greedy. $10 if you want to price it based on the actual value. $5 if you want to....I don't know....show us a little courtesy.
-
do we have to buy the expansion for 40 then shader and emotes for 20...that 60. New people pay 80 for that and also get two dlc and the whole game for the 20 difference? They are saying their game and two dlc are really only with 20 together!
-
1 RespuestaIt really is quite simple -- it is called a free market where prices are driven by the demand. If you don't think it is valued correctly than do not purchase it. If enough people do this companies will learn and adjust the pricing.

1 RespuestaEditado por Lboywonder23L: 6/25/2015 5:50:17 PMWhy is it the same price as CE and HOW DLC I'm wondering
The funny thing about this I looked at the price for TTK the day after announcement on the xbox one store it was priced at £27.99 look two days later £40 £40=$63.30 Let's do some pricing here that is fair for example Fallout 4 Standard edition £42.00 $59.99 Pip-Boy Edition £100 $120 Hmmmm GG Bethesda And I looks like Shaftavision and their pegboys Bungie will continue to shaft us and will most likely charge us £20 for this collectors edition upgrade.
I just do not understand who in the team went "...yeah... $20 is more than reasonable. The community are gonna be psyched about this!!!" Probably Luke Smith.

Biased answer options are biased

3 RespuestasI disagree. If anything it was more like a whole step in the wrong direction.
-
Well would you rather pay $40 and still have to buy content that you've already previously aquired. Stop acting like, no matter what anyone does to fix the problem, you're still the victim. It's unsightly and just absolutely pathetic.
-
The point is obvious, Destiny is a product of a business. Business want money. Huge customer base+ dlc=lots of moola
-
Each item is $2.22. Normally things like what we're getting is in a price range of $1.99 to $5. This is actually a pretty good deal being its at the bottom of the range.
