So far despite the rather crappy pricing structure (HOW same price as TDB) destiny has managed to avoid microtransactions. Given the exclusive content for the collectors edition it and how volatile us veterans feel about having to repurchase the entire game I can see them solving the problem by selling us the collectors stuff separately.
If sales are good what is to stop bungie from capitalizing on further emote and item sales? What if that's what destiny becomes? It's a slippery slope. I myself would pay an extra 5 bucks for those exclusive class items and emotes, but I'd hate for that to be a trend.

2 RespuestasEditado por D1ll0n_FST: 6/24/2015 3:41:17 PMIt depends, if I saw a 9.99 hawkmoon or red death I would literally throw my money at the screen These are the only exotics I need to complete my collection besides my sharded no land beyond and a few more bounty exotics.
-
I refuse to ever spend money on micro transactions. I draw the line at dlcs which feels like it sometimes.
-
4 RespuestasGjallerhorn for $9.99

2 RespuestasThrow money at the screen guys
-
Idk won't be buying anything else from bungie... I'd trade in my game but I went digital... Learned my lesson there!
-
2 RespuestasI'd pay for vault space!
-
What if they sell stuff like game camos like in call of duty
-
If game sales flag the I'd say yes Gotta beat that dead horse

6 RespuestasThey have been grooming us since day one.. i feel violated and used..

Shaders, emblems, the cosmetic stuff, sure do in game purchases, but not weapons or armor. Not with a purchased credit system, not with direct purchase. No. That's how you get a single gun or helmet that ends up being required to beat a boss, but the damn weapon costs $125. That's the freemium phone game model, and that's what I bought a console to get the hell away from.
-
Maybe that's why we haven't seen more DinkleSkins yet?
-
3 RespuestasRealistically, how many of these things would one want to purchase anyway? I have collected several shaders and never used any of them. Microtransactions may alleviate another problem: long grinding. If I had the chance to buy the Legend of Six Coyotes cloak for a low price, I would rather do that than grind out another 25 motes. How much would you be willing to pay for an exotic weapon? Maybe a $2.99 Gjarllarhorn from the Vanguard Quartermaster would change your mind?

2 RespuestasEditado por Mann42: 6/23/2015 8:12:24 PMI'm fine with microtransactions if its for stuff like emotes, dances, shaders, and emblems. Honestly, I'd much prefer to pick and choose what I want to buy than be forced to pay an extra to rebuy what I already own AND buy vanity items I don't want bundled with the ones I do. As long as they don't go pay2win, I see nothing wrong with giving people options to buy cosmetics and vanity items, especially since people can pick and choose what they want. I'm honestly surprised they haven't started selling cosmetic items already.

Bungievison will do whatever it takes to bleed us dry - so microtransactions sounds like a great idea (from a purely financial point of view)
-
I'm fine with Microtransactions as long as it is for Cosmetic items like ships, sparrows, shaders, emblems etc... But for Weapons, armor and subclasses? HELL NO
-
3 RespuestasYes, it was obvious that they will introduce microtransactions since they took out all the content and sold it as DLCs. Just wait until you can buy things like: Double the droprate by +50% for 30 days! Just 9.99€$£!
-
They said they wouldn't do microtransactions. They just partnered with Red Bull though, so there'll probably be codes you have to get from buying red bull to unlock shaders and emblems and what not.
-
Well I for one thought they had this idea of making it a FTP. Then came out with the conventional game pricing instead. So having the idea of they may come out with some sort of transactions to obtain certain items is on par.
-
1 RespuestaMacrotransactions you mean, post $40 more for some absurd emotes and a class item.
-
1 RespuestaProbably, they'll mini DLC us to hell and back. I bet they're going to try EA's idea of charging real cash for ammo.
-
If they do please send me a private message because I need to be here for the bloodshed.
-
2 RespuestasI certainly hope there will be no micro transactions for vanity items. There are so many currencies! Like hell I'll pay more of my actual money for a dance or shader. I will, however, spend glimmer or strange coins or motes of light or vanguard marks for them. Especially vanguard marks. They are so easy to max each week and only the equivalent of one vendor to spend them. (I say one because for some reason it's the only armor and weapon vendor that is separated by an entire section of the social space. New monarchy, fwc and dead orbit all have weapons and armor at the one person. Crucible handler and quartermaster are across the hall from one another so close enough.) Every other vendor in the tower (new monarchy, dead orbit, fwc and crucible all use crucible marks. I'll spend vanguard marks on emotes.
-
2 RespuestasYes. And I'm OUT of here when they do.

1 RespuestaEditado por Magnus: 6/23/2015 9:08:28 PMSo you'd rather pay 80 bucks and rebuy everything instead of micro transactions for trival stuff? You should hate the current trend more.

5 RespuestasI dont mind microtransactions, just not 80$ ones
