So okay $40. Decent price. For Destiny + expansions + Taken King=$60. That is understandable for people who haven't played it yet, it's just a GOTY game. Now $80 for someone who doesn't have the game or expansions is understandable. But what about people who WANT to buy the Collectors Edition who ALREADY HAVE all the YEAR 1 content? Do we not get a reduced price? I would not mind spending $60 for a Collectors Edition without Destiny + Expansions.... Who else?

I fully agree, I have invested way too much money already. 15$ maybe $20 but $40? They are screwing over loyal players only. New players are coming in at a way discounted rate. They don't give a flying blank about us as players. In fact this is a giant middle finger. #destiny #yourdoingitwrong

Honestly this can't be more true. Everyone who already has all the content or has had the game since it came out like me have already invested $100+ into this game already, and honestly that was for a game that wasn't even complete! They had content on the game that was originally supposed to be on the disc (which it should've been) turned into DLC and now, AND NOW, $60 FOR THE ORIGINAL GAME, ALL PAST DLCs, AND THE NEW $40 DLC + EXTRA FOR $60!!!! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!! Bungie should'nt even have us pay for the Taken King. I Mean I will still play destiny, but this is more than enough to make me quit this game forever. Spending $140+ when people who haven't even played the -blam!-ing game can just get everything we already have + for less than half of that. Sorry Bungie but you really need to do something about this and give the community who already has Destiny a little something special in return. Hope you see this.

5 RespuestasWhy would BUNGIE reward year one players? Your already on their hook and will pay them whatever they ask for whether you like it or not, they don't care about you because your garunteed income. New players is what will make them more money

3 RespuestasI don't understand why people want to keep it as is... WE ARE LITERALLY GETTING RAKED FOR PLAYING THEIR GAME. I understand they want money for DLC which is fine by me, but for $80 to get, quite literally, just a DLC is outrageous. Okay look at it this way. I spent $100 on Destiny + $80 from the Expansion. Now the bread and butter of the expansion is what I already bought, so instead I buy the $40 TTK, thats still ridiculous.

1 RespuestaIt does come across as a bit of a con. I spent £80 for the Limited Edition, so that's the base game + the two expansions, a Ghost shell colour, emblem and I think a Sparrow colour, plus a few physical pieces amounting to an artbook, stylised folder and some postcards. This new Collectors version is cheaper at about £74, has all of the above plus TTK, a boatload of physical content, and extras that actually help in game (let's be honest, a new sparrow isn't going to do anything for you in a fight). Considering what's already been spent, and what I may spend for just the standalone DLC, you're looking at (for me) nearly £120. For them to suddenly announce everything I have plus all those extras for nearly £50 less? Not a happy chappy. Considering you can also play the released content with the new CE right now, you'll be able to hit the requirements for that VIP package as well, so that's pretty much included. There's also zero information on just getting the standalone DLC. Doesn't appear in PS Store, no info on how you confirm your level and whatnot, and nothing regarding the size of the DL (I have fairly good broadband, but I hate to think how long it would take this to download. Would much prefer the expansion was put out on a disk of its own). Very poor treatment of the original fan base.

2 RespuestasIt sounds like a wee teeny lil expansion. I thought it was supposed to be so big it would redefine expansion packs. I'll probably order the damn thing but I haven't logged into destiny in a few days and really don't want to right now. everything just deflated a little. Just my .02 -- just seems like not enough. I'll keep an open mind.

It's flat out ridiculous. For starters the expansion pack for Crota and House of Wolves was 40 dollars for 2 DLC packs. Secondly, Bungie is basically saying to players that it's better to buy the following Destiny games AFTER all the DLC's have been released for a discounted price. Xbox players only got one new strike in Crota's End that feels like an overcrowded story mission and a dull raid that everyone cheesed their way through and some completed solo! Most players after a few weeks of Hard mode release could have put the game down and not played again until House of Wolves. Now all the new content is supposed to get you excited with it's loot. Everything from Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders is bad. Vault of Glass weapons and old exotics like thorn still reign supreme in PVE/PVP. The only thing I ever feel like I'm doing in this game is ranking armour and weapons I.E (DOING BOUNTIES NON-STOP!) If you're a weapon hoarder then this is probably great for you to collect every gun in the game and rank them all. Personally I just like whats effective so I can access the content. The only thing that's gonna be good about TTK is the new subclasses. Sorry Bungie but I'm out. I'll see this game again in Destiny 3 once the final expansion pack has been released. It'll save me time doing the same bounties and about $500.

Activi$ion says keep it as it is.

It's like Bungie has become the lapdog of Activision who only focus themselves on robbing money from their consumers. It's plain stupid to think anyone of their playerbase with both DLC's would be happy to see that they included these same DLC's to the packages just to upp their price. This is just a big damn sign (a big F U ) towards their consumers that they don't care about what we want, instead of adding another package without the DLC's for those who already have them or don't want them they just force it down our throats if we want the added content apart from the DLC's. I've bought the ghost edition and I knew it had enough content to make the price right and I would like to buy the next collectors edition, but I think I'm one of many who don't agree with the price and the content that is shown in these packages.

1 RespuestaAll they're going to do is unlock the content that is already on the disc. Get da fucc outta here Bungie!!! I will not pay for a season pass this tyme around. I pay for one thing (raids) and you switch it up to sum bullshit I didn't pay for. Naw Bungie, not this tyme. You can keep that Bullshit! Ya Heard Me!!!

I feel like destiny has always been overpriced. The original game felt way too short and it's a lot of repitition. I always had the feeling the DLC should have been a part of the original. 20 euro's or the equivalent felt too much for what we got ( reflective of the original game ). And now with the taken king, it feels like it will be a good expansion, but in stead of a gesture towards the fans they overprice it too. And to add insult to injury they sell the original content for 40 euro ( legendary edition). It's like they say the fans will pay this, so we can overprice it. If you want to start now is the time because you get a 80 euro discount ( 60 in stead of the 140 people will have paid buying the same thing sequentially ) And on top of this i felt forced to buy the DLC because i couldn't do weekly or daily's . My friends gear was so much better and easier to upgrade. ( They could have patched the originals amount of weapon parts or saphire wire, but they didn't ). I just feel like the company doesn't care about it's players

4 RespuestasThe problem isn't the price, the real problem is that Bungie hasn't adequately communicated how much content is in The Taken King. As of right now, TTK has new patrols, new story missions, new Strikes, a new Raid, the new sub classes, 2 new PVP modes, a new light level and of course new equipment. Bungie has however failed to communicate on how many new patrol locations, how many new story missions, is the story better than what we've had before, how many new Strikes, is there more than 1 Raid, what changes have been made to how we level up, are the vendors better stocked, can we interact with them more, can we recustomise our characters, is there more vault space, is there a new hub, etc,

You get ttk plus all things that the $80 one gives so long as you have a character lvl30+ with previous expansions n original game.. plus if you pre order now you can play ttk beta in July and don't have to wait till September. Continue playing a good game earlier then most for $40 sure y not? If you don't like the game then stop playing. Most people would have spent more money on buying new diff games by now because they beat it on to the next. This is supposed to be a MMO kinda game. You grow in game as it progresses. If u wanna still play but don't want to pay$40 then just wait till it drops later.. read fine print on digital. I been playing since game first dropped. I will pay for it cause I like it. I like to continue games not keep starting new games every couple of months.

Editado por Juhoveli: 6/20/2015 11:14:42 PMI already used 100€ to buy that Digital Guardian Edition.. But sadly, it's hard to just quit Destiny when you have used a lot of money on it, 100€, a lot of money for a lil kiddo :D

Not 60, 40 for the collector upgrade 20 for the DLC. I've spent days on this game, and I brought that expansion pass ASAP, tbh it's been a let down but I already took off sailing on this ship so it's sink or swim. We year 1 should get a discount for all the b.s destiny has put us through and the lack of story and unbalanced everything(that's not a understatement). But I'll pay 40 bucks, and get a ps4(mostly for fallout 4) if TTK sucks oh well ESO is pretty cool. I strongly hope they discount us year 1 vets, but they won't so sadly this is pointless. Oh I have like 100s of hours so I kinda know what I'm talking about I've experienced it
-
15 RespuestasStop being poor and/or wanting special treatment merely for playing a game longer. 40$ is nothing for dozens of hours or perhaps hundreds that you'll all receive from the DLC.

3 RespuestasEditado por Orobas Rex: 6/18/2015 9:37:39 AMI'm ok with the $40 dollars for TTK and the legendary edition for 60 my only gripe is why collectors makes you buy vanilla destiny and expansion one and two instead of offering season 2 pass And I know Bungie doesn't want a bunch of different versions of physical copies but that doesn't make sense for digital copies
-
I would like a version of the collectors without the previous content, that way everyone has a chance to get everything
-
Yep the digital collectors is terrible value compared to the physical. Even more so if you own all the year 1 stuff so far. Plus with the physical if any of it comes as codes you can ebay them or pass them onto a friend to get hooked. XD Essentially digital collectors is an extra $40 for 3 shaders, emblems and class items.
-
Speaking for the Aussies, 100 for game alone, 40 for the expansions, and 70 for ttk. Its not very often that I buy dlc but that's ridiculous. How about they make it a full game and transfer characters over
-
2 RespuestasWhat do you get with the collectors edition?
-
My thoughts exactly. Make a $50-$60 version where you get just TTK and the stuff that comes in the digital collectors edition.
-
If enough people boycott they will get the message.
-
Agreed it makes no sense for current players.
