Only 19% of people have completed a RAID or activities ?

I see this tired argument of "Add matchmaking", and nobody who supports it seems to understand why it Bungie doesn't want it. I'll explain it very shortly, as it can be tedious to go in-depth on every detail. Many people now can't even commit to a Weekly Heroic. Many times have I joined a game, and merely had the players leave at the start, or even in the middle of the game. This would not translate well into a 6 man raid requiring far more coordination beyond "Shoot what's in front of you". Continuing on the necessity of "Communication". A large portion of the people I see on the forums asking for OMM give the reason thus "I am shy and don't want to talk to people". It wouldn't be a huge deal if it were 1 of 6 not talking, but more than likely it would be most of the team. I know for damned sure people won't be using fireteam chat, because nobody does so right now anyway. This would make progression in the raid unbearably slow, and due to that, people would leave, causing further waiting for a new player to be thrown in blind. Right there you have a crumbling system. A high probability if unequipped, and non-communicating players being thrown together, and to the wolves. The service provided on the app for team finding works great. You can filter out undesirable players based on things like Loadout, lack of mic, etc. As functional as it is, many are too stubborn to use it. This is where the solution lies. Adding the same service IN GAME would make a world of difference. Even something as simple as a chat bubble that stays above your players head in a social space to indicate you are looking for raid partners. People see that, join you, and bam, you have a temporary raid team, and possibly a future one, as you can friend them. In summary. OMM for something so communication heavy just can't work. Trying to replace effort on the players end with convenience in this case would not end well in most instances. Well, this was a long post anyway. Just goes to show that even a simplified version is still more complicated. It's easy to say "Give this", but less so to see the implications
