Thorn ruins crucible. TLW effectively counters thorn at close range. I think your problem is with that fact you Thorn spamming n00b!

Plus firing from the hip is an art that not everyone can master. If you are excessively kiled by TLW you're a noob, because the gun damage hasnt changed since launch but the range has been nerfed.
