If God isn't real, then why have dogs "naturally evolved" into hundreds of different breeds when they all live in the same area.

1 RespuestaThis is by far the dumbest shit I ever seen. Here's a tip for your future posts. Do some research before you post something. Instead of throwing out radical ideas without any evidence. The reason that there are so many different dog breeds is due to people back in the day cross breeding dogs for contests like dogs shows and stuff. It was a big craze and many different dog breeds were created. People still do the same thing today but mostly every variation has been made that there is no need for them to cross breed anything. Mostly all dogs you see today are products of incest.

1 RespuestaThe Grey Wolf Canis lupis, the ancestral species of modern dogs, is found in various areas of the world with varying climates. Many early groups of humans began to try to domesticate wolves. A wolf that brought, say, a dead deer back to the humans would be cares for. As humans spread out into different areas across the globe with different weather patterns, they took their domesticated wolves with them. Humans in different areas had different needs, and selectively bred the wolves for different purposes. In regions where tracking prey was necessary, the wolves with the best sense of smell were allowed to reproduce. In areas where prey needed retrieving from the water, wolves with webbed feet were allowed to reproduxe. Due to the varying needs of people across the globe, wolves were selectively bred until they evolved into moden dogs.

6 RespuestasThey didn't, you idiot. The physical diversification of dogs is one of the most notable instances of human intervention in animal husbandry. We bred them for desirable characteristics. There was a time when all dogs had the right physique and coat to survive in the wild in their native climate. Then we domesticated them to work for us. Then we started treating them like pets. Then people started desiring cute, small pets, so they were bred to be small. That's how it began. Incidentally, a "pedigree" dog is actually an inbred dog. Mongrels are better.

Dogs didn't all naturally evolve. Some were selectively bred by humans and the hundreds of species in one area would originally have lived separately all over the world, allowing for different factors to influence their evolution.

OP aside, it's actually really quite interesting. In selecting dogs that were less aggressive and more compatible with people, we chose dogs that had lower testosterone levels. Changing the testosterone levels, it also screwed up a bunch of chemical pathways that caused dogs to display very different traits. I'm hardly knowledgable on the subject, but I thought it was cool.

2 RespuestasBecause some of them f###ed cats and cross breed. I'm far from an atheist, I'm a spiritualist. Read the Bhagavad Gita, great poem about the universe and how we are all part of a larger being. We are all composed of the same elements yet still many of us are different in our beliefs.

Because men have chosen dogs as companions for a VERY long time and bred specific dogs with each other for certain purposes. All mitochondrial DNA in every dog on the planet can be traced back to 2 female wolves...

I'm praying (ironic) that this is satire.
