I've actually had some good games going on for Iron Banner, but there have been times when the level advantages were apparent as heck. My none fully upgraded Bad Juju versus a level 34 Thorn, and even though I get the initial two pulse shots in, he managed to tear me a new one with two body shots since we both were in strange parts of the map. I literally went 1 game where I had 10 kills and 12 assists.
I'm playing Iron Banner because I need a sure way of getting etheric light so I can reach 34 because Nightfall hasn't helped so far.
I average a solid amount of headshots per game, so the kind of advice I'm looking for is more general!
-
1. Equip thorn 2. Shoot thorn 3. Watch em burn 4. Repeat
-
1) Run 2) Shoot 3) Die 4) Repeat 1-3

1. Don't use bad juju. It is not an optimal PvP weapon. In fact it is quite the opposite. Hand cannons and high impact pulse rifles are where it's at, my friend 2. Even if you camp, stay light on your feet and ready to move around a lot. Strafe. Don't run straight at anybody ever. Unless they're not looking at you and you're about to shotgun/melee/super them. 3. Git gud. Seriously. Keep at it. Your thumb skill will improve, making you tougher regardless of level. 4. Don't Rambo. Unless your one of those top 2% players who can blink into a cloud of enemy players and sneeze on them to win the match, don't attack more than one enemy at close range unless you have a teammate with you. It's just common sense. Good luck, guardian. You'll get there.

Do all of the iron banner bounties
-
Yeah get to 34
-
Stick with your team, hope the focus everyone else. That's how I'm doing it on my hunter. Jump alot or move in an odd manner so you make yourself a harder target.

Eric "The Crow" (comic) On a more serious note: Just Keep at it, & try to stay positive even when things seem down. When There's a loss, try to evaluate what went wrong, & how you can overcome it next match (on that map). I've made rank 5 in at least three Iron Banners, & 4 in most. Also make best use of the weekend & the bigger buffs that Lord Saladin gives, grab the bounties, too.

Run fast. Jump high. Fire often. "If you get hurt, hurt them back. If you get killed, walk it off."

If you can do poe 32 for an armor piece and combine it with an exotic it will help being 33. In ib if you are using 365 weapons you will still do normal damage, but as a 32 you are talking more damage and dying easier. You just have to play safer for now

Editado por Petracore: 6/5/2015 11:52:45 AMUSE YOUR RADAR USE YOUR SUPER Pick up heavy whenever you can Capture points whenever you can Stay at longer ranges to get an advantage Watch out for shotgunners on small maps and snipers on big ones. Always push with or support teammates; an assist is better than certain death.

I would always look out for enemies on the mini map and if you need any help with poe or something then add me on Xbox my GT is CoolishSugar

3 RespuestasLevel up first, there is level advantage in IB
-
Use a 365 primary. (likely an exotic if you're short of etheric light). After a game, if you see it was mostly 34 in it, get out of matchmaking. and start again a few sec later.
-
Press RT to shoot
-
1 RespuestaI recommend sniping a staying back, be a more passive player playing defensively
-
-
1 RespuestaTo dish out damage you need to have 365 weapons To take the damage you need to be 34 If you can be 34 but can have 365 weapons you just need to get on the offensive

Editado por FlapjacksNsyrup: 6/5/2015 10:38:02 AM1.) Get Thorn, Last Word, or Red Death and a Shotgun 2.) Be Level 34 and Get 5 other 34s on your team 4.) ????? 5.) Profit
-
Use thorn. Point Shoot
-
Play poe and beat lvl 32. Get the armour core and buy lvl 34 gear. Then you will be 34.
-
Best tip? Be a 33, AT LEAST. At this point in time, there are TONS of 34's in Destiny with their fav weapons ascended to 365, so theyre damage output will stomp you always being a 32, if you can make yourself a 33 youd be in leveled playing field, sort of.

2 RespuestasI'm a 32 and the worst Destiny PvP player ever. I've played 12 matches and had 9 or 10 positive KDs even with level advantage enabled. I can't really understand why as I don't have a fire team and play always on my own. But what I have learned is :- Use a weapon you feel comfortable with. Don't just follow the trend of everyone using Thorn or Felwinters. If they aren't your weapons then don't use them. Follow team mates around the map, try and work two on one situations where you can mop up. Use grenades. Shoot and follow up or throw and shoot. I get several kills with a half and half damage scenario Use your melee. I am hopeless with mine because I forget to use it but last night I had the melee bounty and completed it because I knew I had to. If someone's injured and closing in on you and your stuck between reloading or they're too close to shoot, use your melee. Use cover. Play tactically. Don't rush in but pop in and out from cover. It's not about camping but you will find areas of the map with traffic where you can move in a tight circle and pick up some kills as the enemy pass through. Finally, it's not real life, it's not a test or an exam, just relax a bit and enjoy yourself. Pressure makes you anxious and that doesn't help a steady aim. Good luck!

I lonewolf my level 26 warlock through,a couple iron banners ago and it was a little rough but enjoyable and got to rank 5.best advice I can give is make sure you have cover so you don't get teamshot from all angles and try and hold key points like B zone.

1 RespuestaEditado por kidnapped317: 6/5/2015 7:48:32 AMLol thorn is the least of your worries. Almost every weapon is going to two shot you at lvl 32.

Bad juju is doing pretty well this IB, it's been nice to see a lot of people using it regardless of if they kill me of not. Get that gun maxed! If you don't have a fireteam to play with them stick to whomever you think is the most experienced in your current match and help them with covering fire and pushing forward. I would recommend learning when to hang back due to your level disadvantage and if needs to camp on a zone and kill anyone who tries to take it, it's cheap but not as cheap as some of the load outs and the long term goal is to win by any means necessary. If you see a teammate shooting someone, join in, an assist is only 50 points but it's 50 more than you would get normally. Learn the maps, stay away from the trouble areas (normally zone b on every map) and give it your best
