This is my understanding of how PoE will work in regards to keys:
- You have to at least be present for the final round because you can't join fireteam after or during boss battle
- You get a key for every run, provided it is your first run of the week
- Cannot invite people at the very end just to open the chests
So basically, the keys are just extra tries at the weekly events. You would still have to earn your way to the final chests by participating in the activity, not just opening a chest multiple times or inviting alts at the end to open chests, which would mean the loot system is broken.
So I think Xur should sell keys for 9 strange coins each. This way, doing the weekly strike would actually be like an extra ticket to something we want to do. Most people have so many coins now, and nothing to spend on.
Edit:
You earn strange coins. Mindlessly grinding trash mobs on patrol is easier than earning coins. It is nothing but a time sink. Too many unemployed people here defending the mindless grind rather than people earning coins by playing the game and having fun.

3 RespuestasEditado por sean cope: 5/20/2015 10:29:13 PMMy question is, why does anyone care about treasure keys? The chests only drop queens weapons, and none of them can compare to the old weapons which you can upgrade with etheric light. Definitely not a fan of the new perks either

2 Respuestas23 coins per key, limited to 5 per week.

Yes xur should sell keys
-
Yes please I was starting to run PoE 28 and I forgot I had no key so I just left at round 3

3 RespuestasI didn't get a key from my first run, only from the story quests.

28 coins So you can't get it in one well if you didn't have any coins

1 RespuestaI wouldn't be opposed to that but they would have to find the perfect price. Something not too easy for those with 3 alts and not something too difficult for those with 1.
-
I absolutely agree.... Ain't got time for the grind

3 Respuestas9 is too easy. You get them from doing the weekly strike on level 30. If they did implement this, I'd say charge the same they do for some of the exotic guns (17-23), and there's a cap per account, per week. I'm fine with the grind the way it is, but if they did implement this, that's the only fair way I think. Not too easy, but not unattainable for casuals

2 Respuestasand Etheric light

3 Respuestas9 Coin's? Really? Do you know how easy it is to get 9+ Strangecoin's? I would say maybe like 25 Coin's or 20 at least

I agree, though it shouldn't just be 9 strange coins. You have a chance of getting an exotic+something else every time you open that bigger chest. It would seem fair for it to be around high 10's to lower 20's. How many times you can buy should be limited per account, so you can't just buy it off with different characters. I used to play for at least 8-10 hours when Destiny came out. I can't bring myself to play for more than an hour now without getting extremely bored even with the new content, what more if I was to grind a public event that has a low chance of giving me a Treasure Key. All the "hardcore" players must have a heartache every time you see a post like this but with Xur coming around every weekend, a broken PvP system, glitchable everything at this point basically, and no leaderboards for any accomplishment within the game at all, I personally don't think that it's worth it grinding for this game anymore.
-
I think 15 strange coins would be fair lol

This is actually a great idea.

Editado por T_y_R_e_x_: 5/20/2015 6:15:52 PMSo how, other than opening the chests, do you get keys.
-
1 RespuestaI wouldn't mind if he sold the keys for etheric light or something of bigger value.
-
1 RespuestaEditado por QueenLizzy-Pack: 5/20/2015 1:50:57 PMNope, the only reason you made this post was because you most likely have a loads of strange coin and would get a massive advantage with the amount of keys you could buy.

Bungie won't do that. They want the game to be a grind not a walk in the park
