So here's the thing... Venus is the hottest planet, but I voted mercury for one simple reason... This is the #destiny forum, we talk about destiny here... In destiny, Venus has been terraformed by the traveler to make it inhabitable... So, Mercury is the hottest planet... Yall just got wrecked.

While outside the game, Venus is hotter than mercury, in the game, both had been terraformed to support human life. The vex likely undid much of that when they made mercury into a giant machine, so in the context of destiny, it might make sense if Mercury turned out to be the hottest.
