Ok, so I have seen a lot now of the Trials of Osiris, and it's gotten me thinking...
Warlocks will be able to self res, giving them an incredible edge over other classes, plus with The Ram Arises exotic perk from The Ram helmet, it disorients nearby enemies when you self res. Now, there is a lot of excitement for this, and I've heard of people saying "you just have to watch out for any warlock with horns on their head" which, yes, makes it easier to spot them and avoid them. But... I wondered, what if you didn't have The Ram equipped when you died, but had your super charged, and switched to it when you were dead, then the enemy wouldn't suspect you of having the perk that disorients them and they would put that extra guard down, allowing you to self res once it's equipped and exploit the helmet's perk...? Maybe. Idk if The Ram will be able to be exploited like that but it seems like it would work.. Only Bungie knows now

I think most things like that are set before you die. For instance you can't switch to fireborn while dead and self-res
-
I thought something like this would work with the Crest of Alpha Lupi in clutch situations, but learned that you only retain the perks of the armor you have on when you die, so no Ram before you die means no exploit.
-
1 RespuestaEven if it works like that, everyone knows to practically stay away from a dead Warlock. If you see the Warlock's Ghost, then STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM IT .
-
You shouldn't be near a dead warlock anyways. One hit melee kill during radiance...
-
1 RespuestaWhat I'm concerned about is the angel hunter helm for hunters. Imagine a felwinter shotgun with shot package in the hands of an angel hunter hunter. The exotic perk says: more accuracy after jumping. Blink is a jump right?
-
3 RespuestasWith the time it takes to load the inventory screen, the enemy will be long gone before you can change helmets and then self rez.
-
7 RespuestasIt's possible, but I'm definitely too lazy to use an exploit that involves switching equipment mid-game. As someone who wants to give The Ram + self-res a shot in Trials, I already have a counter thought up, too. (not saying what because obviously but it's pretty easy to figure out) So I don't think it'll be too OP as long as everyone keeps their wits about them and watches out for Sunsingers in general.
-
Way to think outside of the box, but that is highly impractical. I don't know about anyone else but the only thing I pay attention to on a guardians head is its proximity to my cross hairs
-
I still think it'll be very situational. Who honestly stands by a fallen enemy? Yeah it might work for CQ but most people shoot from a distance.

1 RespuestaEditado por THE_ALPHA_KLLER: 5/4/2015 2:50:36 PMDon't think it will work just like switching to Ruin Wings after heavy drops doesn't give you more ammo (at least for me). Edit: example is from experience in pve not pvp.
-
1 RespuestaIf you are the last guardian to die you have 3 seconds to use radiance. Don't think that's enough time to change gear and self resurrect.
-
19 RespuestasI'm not worried. Celestial Nighthawk will be be OP. I'm a jumping maniac so it will help me very often. Gotta love that agility.
-
3 RespuestasAm i the only one who thinks this will be just the effect of a suppression grenade but then longer lasting? Like 6 seconds.
-
9 RespuestasRam is just a wanna-be Saint-14, you actually have to die for it to be useful.
-
They'll probably think of a way around that exploit. "Probably"
-
I'm on ps3 so the loading time takes 1000 years. Also if you have radiant skin on and die, and then switch to fireborn you also can't self res so i think it wouldn't work.
-
IMO I don't think The Ram will be of that much use in ToO, Light Beyond Nemesis will be King.
-
I hope it's not allowed to do that, but whatever I guess. As long as I'm ready with a shotgun at their ghost visibility won't matter.
-
2 RespuestasIf you are standing near a warlock after they die then you are doing it wrong. No matter what equipment they have on
-
1 RespuestaI think the helmet would have to be on when you die for the perk to work
-
It really just depends on the radius of the effect of The Ram Arises, or if it is a automatic affect regardless of position (which I doubt it is)
-
2 RespuestasIn Trials after your whole team has died there's a 3 second countdown til the round is officially over. You would have to open the menu, equip the helmet, close the menu and activate your super in under 3 seconds
-
Lol just stay away from the warlocks and when they self res killed agajn
-
Lol literally all you have to do is stay away from the dead warlock.
-
8 RespuestasA way to test this would be dying in a strike or something and then equipping, say, light beyond nemesis, and seeing if your teammate revives you faster due to LBN's perk

Thanks bro
