Pulse Rifles Beat Thorn 2:1 in Iron Banner...In My Experience
Met opposite my fireteam a couple gentlemen that were toting Thorn in Iron Banner. In 5 matches, I swapped back and forth between The Conduit and Three Little Words, both with Head seeker. With either Pulse Rifle, I was simply laying enough damage into these guys, as much in the face as possible of course. These guys...not really landing those head shots. They seemed to be relying on the DoT...against a Titan.
So, as cool as Thorn is, don't rely on DoT to take people down. Otherwise, a Casual Scrub like me will make you feel stupid.
How about you guys? Any surprising f-UPS by the opposition in Iron Banner?

Editado por Neutrill: 4/29/2015 6:11:02 PMIf a Thorn user and a Red Death user with equal skill enter a gun fight, the healing perk from killing with 2 bursts will heal you enough where the Thorn's user DoT won't kill you when it normally would after getting hit twice in the head. Red Death MASTER RACE!

One axion bolt and one shot from Thorn kills people. You barely even need to be out of cover to kill people. It's stupid.

I agree! It's not hard to out gun the Thorn. I did pretty well with Suros also, earlier yesterday.

I think the only advantage to thorn is how high the range can get, in some cases it's higher than pulse rifles so I prefer Thorn and not relying on the DoT because I usually don't get headshots so I hit them enough to kill them straight up

2 RespuestasIn my experience, better players beat worse players 4:1. Stop blaming the weapons, they don't usually dictate who lives or dies.

I've been switching between Red Death and TLW for fun. I do about the same with either. 1 really good game followed by a couple of crap games and then 1 where I break even. Rinse Change weapons Repeat Seems there are some new Thorn and TLW owners out there who haven't gotten it down pat or upgraded their weapons yet. I have to admit it feels good to get a kill on a Thorn user. :)

I've had the same experience with timepiece. Pulse rifles are going to be the next big thing. I don't think anyone has any good ones right now so they're not being used.

2 RespuestasI was making quick work of a lot more people with Juju than I expected to. I was always more a Hand Cannon person and just recently started using pulse rifles. Had Juju early on and didn't like it but giving it another chance was def worth it.

Yep, I use thorn and I get out shot by red death, three little words and oversoul edict often.
