Don't take things out of context ... When I get off work and have time to delve more deeply into this reply I will .... There is a meaning for everything in the bible. Don't read one thing twist it around and make it mean something else .... I understand times were different back them then they are now and we have more laws and regulations, more rights and it makes back then look horrible but that's the way it was then .... Obviously Jesus came and ended that.

Im fine with a person who believes the teachings of Jesus in the bible, and sees the obvious issues as metaphors or parables with a lesson to be learned in them. However, if you're going to take genesis as a literal interpretation, then say a book like Leviticus is obviously out of date and written in a different time, and put it into that context, I have serious trouble believing you can differentiate those two and be taken seriously.

But see genesis wasn't out of date because people weren't around at the time other than Adam and Eve, they aren't cast out because of disobedience and now sinners. Once that happened man took over and chose to live their own way .... In term, -blam!- pillage, kill, slavery, bigotry etc ... So it does make sense

That has nothing to do with how the universe and the world was created and how you choose to believe something that has no scientific backing, when we have scientific answers to most of what is addressed.

That's not what we were talking about .... We were talking about how barbaric it was back then, with the way people acted according to their times. Without law, before law was given then Jesus came.

There was law outside the bible. The bible wasn't the only source of law, nor was it the first law.

It's very factual .... It actually tells more about history accurately than our text books in school.

Text books in school are watered down pieces of garbage. Thats an awful low standard you're comparing to, and the bible still lacks more than half the history of a single school history book.

The Bible has proven to be more historically and archaeologically accurate than any other ancient book. It has been subjected to the minutest scientific textual analysis possible to humanity and has been proven to be authentic in every way.

Not in every way, In some ways. And its one of the most historically accurate holy books, not book in general.

Doesn't seem like you can, you keep repeating yourself holding on to science that can't even prove something like the creation of our planet, or where the Dino's went, or how we were created .... None have 100% truth or definitive answers. Unlike the bible.

The bible saying itself is true doesn't count, I want the verifications of the things in the bible. If its so definitive, it should be easy.

You can give 100% definitive proof that scientist say how the earth was formed .... Or do scientist guess how it was formed .... And so scientists know for 100% sure that it was an asteroid that wiped them out or do they hypothesize about what happened and concluded that it had to have happened like that. Because the flood wiping out everything on earth .... With proof that I've linked to you and others before is a better explanation. Also why sea creature fossils are found thousands of feet above sea level.
