Lmfao, this coming from the guy that doesn't have one. Is the exotic bounty too hard for you or are you just not good enough to get it? Hawkmoon is an instant 2 hit head shot kill. Most of the time I end up putting 3 shots in a guy with thorn to make sure he goes down before he kills me. Do you think you can shoot a guy twice and he will just stop engaging and wait politely to die? Thorn is not op, most people who use it are just better than you.

they nerfed the perk in pvp only making it do 4 ticks. so you can't kill someone with 2 head shots anymore. :P DERPPP

I tried to use it, and I'm not as accurate as my brother and sister guardians who rattle off two in me for the kill. If you are good, you are good. I am not, so I won't use thorn.

I think people bringing up red death or hawk moon don't take into consideration the drawbacks of both guns. Red death requires both bursts to be completely on the head making anything past mid range a disadvantage. It's slow fire rate makes anything up close also a disadvantage. The last word is bugged, that should not be included. Hawk moon has a slower fire rate and needs a lucky rounds for the 2 head shot kill. Thorn fires faster than both, has great range and it's dot doesn't suffer range penalties either. What's the drawback to using Thorn? I earned that gun twice and you know what, after going up against Thorn users with hawk moon, red hand, and even some pulse rifles... I can't say it's too OP, however, I do consider it a crutch gun. So if you use it, I think you're using it for easy kills. I'm attempting to go outside my bubble because I had a last word streak and I feel that it also is a crutch. Although, using red hand against hawk moon and Thorn. Tough as hell when they need one less bullet than you for a kill.

Yes it's a 2 head shot but the burn gives players time to kill you or heal themselves e.g red death picking up orb

I don't care about players using the thorn, I've been playing long enough to where it can only be problem if a good player happens to be using it, and if I was caught off guard with it. But either way it's just one of those things you have to work around, even if it requires a little bit of effort.

It depends on what you consider to be overpowered. Some things to consider: 1) After the second headshot, your opponent won't die right away and can still kill you or do things to prevent his death (like a Super or kill you with Red Death). Also in the time it takes for the DoT to kill your opponent, your teammate can kill him and "steal" the kill. 2) Other primary weapons can kill you in two shots/bursts such as Hawkmoon and a bunch of High-Impact Pulse Rifles. 3) No non-exotic HC can kill with 2 shots. This is what makes Thorn and Hawkmoon worth using. So they will either be the best HC's or they simply won't be worth using at all. Personally, I think exotics should be best in class and by a decent margin. I think that Invective and 4th horseman should be the best shotguns in the game and by a good margin. Patience and Time should be buffed to be much better than Praedyth's Revenge. Icebreaker should get buffed to be better in PvP (though not as good as P&T due to ammo regen). Thunderlord and SGA should be better than Jolder's Hammer, Corrective Measure, etc in the Crucible. What I am saying is that the exotics should feel overpowered. Part of the reason why some exotic primaries dominate is because the other exotics (primary, special and heavy) aren't worth using over their legendary and rare counterparts. We should all have a weapon that feels overpowered but there should be more diversity as to what weapons people are choosing. I want people to have to choose if they want an "overpowered" hand cannon, an "overpowered" auto rifle, an "overpowered" shotgun or something else "overpowered".

Thorn is only useful in PvP. Its a spitwad gun in PvE. Hawkmoon and Last Word are far more deadly in both cases. Thanks to the bs nerfing crybabies who couldn't complete the Thorn bounty because they didn't first take the time to acquire the right weapons first. I stead its easier to cry about it being used against you....pathetic!!! Even if Crucible only allowed us to use the exact same weapons, people would still cry hacker or lag switch. I mean how could he/she have possibly outgunned you? You are the fastest smartest bestest baddest mofo on the digital battlefield after all. There's just no effin way you could lose....bet many of you have to have someone else fix your cars, houses, mow the lawn etc because you can't do jack for yourself ;))
