Am I the only one who is just garbage with hand cannons? I have thorn and hawkmoon and I just cannot kill People with them I'm just so bad with them

One time with thorn with aggressive ballistics, I hit 147 on a crit o.O

The gun is good but it's the user that brings out its potential. Before anyone says that's bs, try going up against a last word user with thorn and win.

I point it at people and they die. That's all I really know about it.

Yes, you would be correct that thorn is OP af. I own it but don't really use it that much anymore, it makes me feel kind of cheap, just by getting the kill with dots.

I honestly don't pay attention to the 'little numbers' when I play PVP. Thorn is basically a two shot kill to the head. [spoiler]I wish that Bungie would return it to it's 'pre buff' status. I legit got a 5.0 K/D with pre buff thorn in my first match with it. Sure, it wasn't OP back then, at least, not like the Suros or Mythoclast was, but it was a very serviceable weapon in Crucible. 6 shots was all it needed. Plus, the slower ROF meant that it wasn't very spammable. You actually needed a modicum of skill in order to get a lot of kills with it.[/spoiler]

I have over 6500 kills with Thorn. It's an OP weapon. Period. I stopped using it a while ago because it took the fun out of the game. It's incredibly overpowered, and with the new update, it's even more so. I could easily go 20-0 using it and I just don't find that fun. Two shots from cover and it's game over. When I would smoke, that would be the only gun I would use because I was too high to use anything that took skill. I would just chill back and pop head shots left and right. Now I use No Land Beyond to restore some challenge back to the game. Just got my 1000th kill with it yesterday. That's a gun that takes skill to use.

It's agreed that Thorn is OP. Unless you use Thorn of course. Then you're going to defend it and probably call anyone who wants a nerf a bunch of names and what not. You can shoot someone twice and run away letting the perk do all the work for you. It shoots fast enough to where it looks like you got one shot and you died. Pair that with Destiny's lag and you have a weapon that can only be competed with by that weapon. There's a reason that sweaty matches consist mostly of Thorn.

Tlw can do it with hip fire and hawkmoon has a glitch where all there lucky rounds proc on 1 bullet causing a 1 shot head shot. All the hand cannons have 2 shot magic capability but thorn is EVERYTIME. Which is good because it use to suck and the bounty deserves a good gun. If u have issues with thorn try out pulse rifles they have faster dps except tlw
