My point is, if you seem to know something the rest of the scientific community doesn't, you should share it and take your place in history. But I'm willing to guess you don't actually have a way to show what you have faith in. And once again, you're misusing the word faith.

Editado por cxkxr: 4/9/2015 1:13:09 AMIt is faith, as in it's not empirically proven, I don't see why that's so hard for you to comprehend. You believe evolution is fact, despite it not being empirically proven to be fact. That's why it is somewhat of a faith on your part. Instead of trying to understand plainly what I'm saying, you'd rather be dogmatic about semantics, which is rather annoying. Majority of scientists are predisposed to philosophical naturalism/materialism, so it's practically impossible to get their respect no matter how right or valid my arguments are. Your own arrogance is evidence of that.
-
Editado por Britton: 4/9/2015 1:17:39 AMIts not faith. Look up the word faith in the dictionary, you'll find its not what you claim. A proper word would be belief. I do believe its true based on how all evidence points to it being real. And you've yet to offer a counter view. The thing about science is that it deals in measurable things. Its able to make predictions based on observation, and test those predictions. The chance that your view is in no way testable or verifiable is the very reason it can't be considered as viable against things that are.

A dog will never produce a horse, or a fish a dog. These predictions have not been disproven, in fact, it's empirically supported by observation, unlike evolution.

Words have definitions for a reason.
-
You're an arrogant dogmatist for a reason.
-
Good job on resorting to ad hominem and not offering any counter points and wasting my time and yours.
-
Editado por cxkxr: 4/9/2015 1:30:51 AMironic coming from the guy who cannot accept plainly what I'm conveying, but would rather argue semantics. Yes, you are good at wasting time indeed. "It's not faith, it's belief!" Lol

Editado por PandaTheeInsipid: 4/9/2015 1:45:46 AMMan you to just and a 3 hour conflict (that's what it felt like) were one dude said I have facts I have facts and the other said I have faith I have faith so just to point this out you both wasted everybody how read this there time and p.s. Not having any facts (the creationist or whatever dude looking at you) to help your point other than saying that it's not 100% true it's only 80% (so I don't get told I didn't say that again that's what it felt like) is still not help you point at all.
-
It's not even 80% true. The idea that we all came from the same microbe is 100% a religion. There is no proof of that, at all.
-
Ok well congrats you finally said what your point was yay ok now step two why don't you say some facts to prove your point but only to prove your point not dis prove any other then I will except your answer but Intel then your just dis proving theories instead of proving your own
-
Editado por cxkxr: 4/9/2015 2:09:30 AMI don't care to shove my theories down people's throats. All I ask is that people be less narrow-minded and consider other options, other than the one's they've been indoctrinated with. Other than evolution, which is so far from being empirical fact, it's pitiful "intellectuals" proclaim it to be empirical facts. It's not fact, it has sooo many holes, and I just want to open minds that have been sealed shut.
-
Hey now what did I say you have to prove your own first before you can talk bad about others
-
Lol. I don't feel like repeating myself.
-
Come on now I know you can prove your theory with out dis proving others only
-
I have several theories. I'm opened minded. I think evolution is a decent theory, it may be true, but it is far from being empirically true. It is far from being proven as an undebatable fact, yet people pretend like it is. Which is such a dishonest and unintellectual claim.
-
Man you no what I give up you have yet to prove anything say whatever you want you still don't have proof( ps I'm also opened minded just you have yet to prove anything you just keep saying your opinion )
-
Burden of proof is on the one making truth claims, ie: the evolutionist.
-
There you go again still nothin bruh
-
Burden of proof is on the one making the truth claim. I'm not making any claims. If you have no empirical proof for your belief, that's fine, you can believe in whatever religion you want.
-
You claimed that theory of evolution was wrong so have fun being hypocritical
-
Burden of proof is on you, thanks.
-
Still saying nonsense you know what I'm pretty sure that the only reason you still commenting is so you can have the last word
-
Riiight, asking for empirical proof for your belief is nonsense. You sound very sacrilegious.
-
Here's the problem I never said my belief I said I was opened mind and asked for proof that you belief is correct(and don't give me that nothing is correct bs) and you have yet to deliver
-
Editado por cxkxr: 4/9/2015 3:07:19 AMI've never said anything about my beliefs. We're discussing evolution here. I haven't made any truth claims.
