Furious 7
After watching this movie, I can confirm it is one of the worst movies of all time. Not only is it's influence on children a negative one, but it is nothing but a money grab, using Paul Walker's death as hype. The movie should have been canceled out of respect for Paul, but it was released anyway as a cash grab.
I believe this movie deserves to be taken out of theaters, and I recommend boycotting it. I will go through my reasons.
1. The overuse of violence. We wonder why school shootings have become more common, and car based fatalities have risen, yet we ignore the ridiculous ideas this movie emits? It's ludicrous this movie is allowed to exist, let the alone how it is glorified to our children.
2. The negative representation of Christianity. The main character, and cult leader, Dom, holds a cross as his symbol. Not only is he a mass murdering, sadistic satanist, but is portrayed as an ideal Christian, who loves his family, while he is clearly condemned to hell for his past actions.
3. As a feminist, this is one of the most demeaning films to women in existence. It's practically a porno. Every teenage boy in the theatre was crossing his legs five minutes into the movie. The movie portrays women as sex toys with no brains, or violent maniacs. Not one racing scene could pass without an up skirt shot.
4. The disrespect towards those with mental illness. Amnesia is a serious disease, yet it was almost made fun of, how quickly and easily one character got over it.
5. The glorification of crime. The protagonists of the story are [b][i][u]criminals[/u][/i][/b] need I say more?
6. The mis-representation of the military and law enforcement. These groups were shown as incompetent, and useless, while they are the foundation for American society.
All in all, the film corrupts youth, and promotes crime and -blam!- culture. Society should boycott this movie, and sue everyone involved for their blatant incompetence and disrespect.
