EDIT: damn this got way more attention then I thought, thanks for all the great reply's. I'd now like to see opinions on what is the best exotic hc to use during pvp out or the hawkmoon, thorn, or TLW.
Edit 2: Thanks to whoever necrobumped this thought it was dead. After reading all the responses I've learned that the best hc to use is all of them, all 3 exotic hc are good on different maps. Cqc you go with TLW, mid-range to long-range you go with thorn or hawkmoon depending on your mood. I love my hawkmoon but I'll use TLW on Cqc maps as I'm very competitive.

Hand cannons are op as hell. But I'm about to get thorn, so I'll finally know what it's like to shrek in crucible.

Fatebringer hasn't left my primary slot in PvE content since it dropped for me. I now have 3 maxed out, one for each character. No need to swap. I am still impressed by how effective that gun is. The firefly, outlaw, arc burn combo is ridiculously effective. I can only imagine how much better it will be at 365 attack. For PvP, Hawkmoon is sublime.

Lord High Fixer is the best! The one sold from the Crucible pre dark below has the best perks as well, great for PvP

Venation III, Word of Crota, Thorn, Hawkmoon, The Devil You Know.... but none of them are as much fun to me as my Fatebringer. That handcannon BEGS me to line up headshots and when I do... oooh the beautiful chain explosions. It's like popping a small electric balloon - except the balloon is a head and the explosion fizzles out everyone nearby. For pvp though it would be Hawkmoon. Damn thing hits like a truck and I can practically snipe with it. I love to tag people running by with it and let my teammates finish him off
