The fact is there are more fake 32s via Crota's End than any other time in the game. It can be easily cheesed and solo'd on normal so you really only need a couple friends willing to carry you through that to get gear and shards. Even hard mode, if you bought an Icebreaker from Xur and beat Crota normal enough to get Hunger of Crota, you can finish Hard raid literally without having to do anything but shoot a couple rockets at Crota if you have a solid team. Abyss encounter (lamps) can be reliably solo'd by a titan and all you need to kill is a single Knight. Titans with max agility and increased height on their lift can easily cross the bridge encounter without forming it and all that is needed is a single Warlock with Fireborn to self-revive. Shrieker hall and death singer encounters can be completed with 2 players who have some competence. Crota needs 3 or 4 to be competed reliably and a team of 6 can even recover from mistakes or glitches. I bet >90% of players have never completed the bridge encounter legitimately, and probably 75% or more don't even know how to complete it legitimately... Iron Banner 32s are the most legit rank you can achieve in my opinion.
