What are your opinions on it. As a British guy I'm fairly uneducated on the subject. I don't really see the need to have a gun myself but what is your opinion?

1 RespuestaEditado por ImmortalIce: 3/21/2015 6:17:02 AMThe real reason is to rise up against the government if it becomes tyrannical. Of course the government would claim these rebels are "terrorists" and the sheep would listen to them. Like Thomas Jefferson once said, we need a rebellion every now and then to "refresh" the government and remind them that it is government by the people, for the people not people for the government. TL;DR If you take away guns then only criminals or cops can shoot you.

I support the right to bear arms. I own a gun, have been properly educated on guns, and use it regularly. I feel changes could be made for safety but the changes would not be to take away my rights.

America was built on a civilian militia, and therefore, guns. Guns give us security. If you suddenly take away every legal gun owner's weapon, then the only people with guns will be the executive branch of government, and criminals. You can't just take away America's firearms because it works in Europe.

Why just arms? Why not the whole bear?
-
2 RespuestasNope, we should ban guns entirely, worked out pretty well in Australia.
-
It was put in to effect in order to allow citizens to rebel against the government, I they ever overstep their boundaries. That being said, most people in America today wouldn't have the integrity to actually stand up against the government in this day and age.

10 RespuestasNo one in America should be allowed to own a gun, except for cops.

Well, here's my opinion. Guns are always going to be on the streets, legal or illegal. It's like drugs. If you can't get them legally, you buy them illegally. If they take our right to bear arms, they're just leaving us unprotected from the people who get them illegally. Imagine this scenario: It's late at night. You wake from a loud crash in the kitchen. You live alone, so someone must be in the house. You used to have a firearm, but that was taken away when the government denied the Second Amendment. You grab the next best thing, your knife, and head silently to the kitchen. You catch the robber read handed. The robber, seeing that you have a knife, pulls out his gun and shoots you at point blank range. There's no way you can survive. You die, and you couldn't protect yourself. Maybe if you had your gun, things would have been different. But now you're dead. Just my opinion.

Do people realize that if we ban guns anyone could just grab a kitchen knife a stab someone if we ban guns psychopaths will just use other things, better to have a gun to protect yourself and just make so people with a criminal past cant buy a gun

Everyone had the right to... Bear arms! ... Seriously though, they do.
-
Those poor bears tho they need their arms for fishing:/
-
Why not have whole bear?
-
It's easy for a government to sign away rights when the people have no way to fight back.

12 RespuestasOpen Carry is coming to Texas soon! Finally! Wooohoo!
-
If I want bear arms, I better be able to surgically remove my arms and replace them wth bear arms! Nobody, is taking MY bear arms, away from me.

1 RespuestaThat pic tho...

We all should be able to carry guns, I guarantee 90% of crime would stop if criminals had to think twice of a person would shoot them if they did something wrong. American is ran by a bunch of wussy liberals who think criminals and psychopaths deserve second chances and that rehabilitation works. Maybe for the 2-5% it does ..... But everyone else ..... Nope!
-
Don't you get near my arms!
-
That rule was created during a time of revolution. I think it should be reworked so we avoid shootings at elementary school and movie theaters

21 RespuestasI think that the Second Amendment as it's written is outdated. It was written when guns were far simpler and less deadly than they are today, and when being invaded by a foreign nation was a real possibility. I think that owning a gun should be treated like owning a driver's license. A privilege for people who have proven themselves to be safe and able to use it.

4 RespuestasOf course bears should be allowed to have arms. What's the debate about?
-
As a bear, I love arms. Arms=fish. Arms=walking. Arms=bear-slaps.
-
Reasonable responses? What is going on?
-
In soviet Russia, you have right to whole bear
