Haha yes his weapons are garbage. And my favorite weapon for PvE is "satier rapier" from the crucible quarter master. Once you become a higher lever and start to do nightfalls the story side of destiny gets real fun. I could help you out if your on ps4, I'm from California so that's my time zone.

There are weekly nightfall strikes, they have certain "modifiers" such as heroic which you see in the harder difficulty in the missions. They include: lightswitch- enemy melee attacks cause greater damage. Angry- enemies won't flinch. And the fun ones are the burns, I.e. Void arc or solar burns. Which make that certain damage type 300% more effective for you and for your enemies. Making the strike easier/ harder depending how you look at it. It's a good way to get exotics I have gotten many from the night fall strike.
