How is this possible? What is everyone doing? A lot of people have asked where I got this information. I'm going off the ps4 trophy list is says 18% have earned the trophy for completing a raid. I know this doesn't take xbox into consideration but I think the large sample size of playstation users should be a good indicator across all platforms.

Just finished vog twice and crota once in the last 30 days...been playing since launch... Just got a steady group.

3 RespuestasThe ps4 trophy list?! Hahaha! Isn't that based off you friends?
-
You haven't checked Xbone and the old gen.
-
this number includes a bunch of people who bought the game and abandoned it. If my friends list is any indication, at least 25% of those people stopped playing
-
7 Respuestas18% of 100% of PS 4 Players....your assumption is heavily biased and totally stupid. This isn't including PS3/Xbox 360/XB1

5 RespuestasMatchmaking would make raid teams way more frustrating. I'm lucky enough to have 6 other real life friends that play destiny as much as I do, so I'm never short a person for raids. If matchmaking zombies is any indication, most randoms are morons with no mics.

1 RespuestaA lot of people just don't have the time. I'm a perfect example of that. I've gone into VOG a few times, jumped in at various parts. But I just don't have time during theday to sit there and play the whole thing start to finish. So my raid completion stat remains at 0. I don't see that as a bad thing. Then again, raiding like crazy isn't a bad thing either. Just depends on the person and their schedule/obligations.

I find it hard to believe as well. But it always surprises me I see that like 40% completed the first mission in some games. Like really.
-
I remember when it was 3%...we're moving up...lolz.

Because most people won't bother to go through the trouble of having to look for other people to play with OUTSIDE the game. Raids are great end-game content but with some of the poorest UI and matchmaking in any MP-centered game I've ever seen. Hell, there's no matchmaking of any kind for this activity. In fact, once you meet the criteria, you can just drop in the raid without anyone! It doesn't warn you that it's meant for a full FT and you should start looking for people. It doesn't inform you where to look for such people. There are no areas anywhere in the game designed for people to gather and express their interest in doing a raid. Raids can be as good as can be but what's the point if the game doesn't give the tools for the players to actually partake in such activity successfully? And for the record, it's not on the players to be able to find them, Bungie HAS TO give a platform for players to be able to perform this activity without having to operate an application OUTSIDE of the game itself. The fact that it forces you to go to a separate website to look for others is downright pitiful. The fact that Bungie does NOT inform you that this is the best (AND ONLY) way to find others to help you raid makes matters even worse. This is the first game where I felt FORCED to run a secondary application to actually enjoy the game to its fullest. That is how pitiful the game design is. 18%? I'm surprised it's not lower than 10% considering how the game just leaves players in the dark when it comes to the raid.

75% or percentage statistics are made up

13% of the people on your friends list maybe lol

3 RespuestasEditado por brose_one: 2/13/2015 9:46:45 PMthe trophies say 60% reached 777 Grimoire. so 18% isn't really bad. it's about half of the players that took the game seriously. i wonder if it's tied to console. (PS3 vs. PS4) I got the platinum trophy on GTAV (PS3) & the rarity is .1%, but that seems awfully low for a game that popular that's been out for over a year. -- [edit] does CE count? I'm asking because I have 6(?) VoG completions & 1 CE, but my Grimoire says I have 6 total completions.

You need to account for the people who: A: Play the game once and stop. B: Are "casual" gamers with no reason to raid. C: Can't find a raid team. D: Are still too low level (somehow) to do the raid at all.

4 RespuestasWhen people want to play video games, they play video games. Not go to a website to find people to play the game and hope you find 5 other people. I understand that you need to work together and communicate for the raid, but no matchmaking is freaking lame. Especially when they said it was impossible for randoms to complete a raid and a couple weeks later you have the community manager say he completed the raid with randoms. Just add matchmaking, because everybody proved that it is possible to do with randoms. Bungie should stop making excuses for their lazy development and maybe add stuff people are asking from before launch.

7 RespuestasDude. Believe it or not it is quite the challenge to find a team to complete a raid. I've done VOG and CROTA twice and that's it and I've been playing since launch... It has been extremely frustrating, and to top it off there are an incredible amount of people that have done the raid that don't want people that are not experienced. Unless you've done the raid several times, than it's a challenge before it becomes second nature.

I don't believe that honestly
-
I'm not shocked by that. Took 5 people in Crota for their first time last night! Went fairly smooth until Crota himself. So ya I'd say that's probably bang on. As raid vets we should really try to take Guardians in to both raids for their first time. Nothing beats hearing their voices of excitement each time a drop occurs or when they see things for the first time. Love it!

There's ps3, ps4, xbox 360, xbox one.
-
I agree with you that it does not seem possible. I play on an Xbox so I have no basis for data on a PS4. It just seems low. I wonder if that takes into account all of the people who started the game, built a profile and then quit. If that number is accurate I am shocked! The raids are the best part of the game.
-
I feel like it should be more 18% of the ps destiny community only completed a raid, I know I saw something about crota HM only being about 10% which I still find crazy
-
I do them because my friends need another player, and for the exotic. Chance. I find Crota boring now and vog is fun but not really worth doing beyond gorgon chest and atheon himself. Mostly I play for the banner now
