I've been playing since day one and have no real desire to get the Gjallarhorn. Don't care if anyone else does either. I think the fact that people think it's the one exotic that you indefinitely need for all facets of the raid is retarded.

Agreed. Me and a team mate brought Crota to his knees with a Hezen Vengeance and a Hunger of Crota after the Gjally jockeys shot their wads early on. I'll take one if it's on offer, but I got launchers coming out of my a*se.

No, it actually isn't. Have you tested it? Because as long as you're testing it on a boss big enough, and the cluster bombs mostly hit, then it is not. Also, Dragons Breath does more total damage if the enemy stays in the flare for its duration. "lmao"

A gally at 300 does more damage than the hunger at 331. The gally at 331 blows away the hunger dude.

Unless he lied about numbers, it doesn't do way more anything. Two or three clusters missed, and it still only did about 70 less damage. If they all hit it'd be about equal. Granted that's the point of Gjallarhorn is that they don't miss, but that isnt my point. All you kids need to get the gjally cock out your mouths and test it yourselves instead of jumping down some random persons throat. You'd think I insulted one of your children.

Lol I been playing from jump and tested it several times, you can also look at pretty much every single YouTube video where people are testing them. Do you not count the clusters because if you don't, your a bigger idiot than I thought. Or...... It might be possible you have a super charged hunger of crota, like a 1 of 1 that was built by ORYX himself. No reason to come on here and curse dude, it shows how much of a child you are.

I've found one video on Crota which isn't indicative of an actual boss considering he has shields and not health. Me and a friend tried to do the math but I guess our fragile minds just can't comprehend the glory that is the Gjallarhorn. Also, last I checked cock isn't exactly a "curse word." Just saying this gun doesn't need to be fanboyed over by 2/3rds of this childish community. Most of which don't even have it.

Every gun in the game is pretty much situational . If you want to argue that the gally is not worth a exotic slot I can agree with you prob 90 percent of the time but to say its as good as the hunger it's not even close man, can you live without it yea but it makes things a lot easier especially when you are fighting a boss. Omnigold can be taken down in 30 seconds of 2 people have it, 4 of us had it against atheon and he was done after the first relic run.

Said the damage was close. Not as good as. If 4 of you used the hunger on atheon then he would have been down in two to three extra rockets. If you've got a good exotic in your other slots, the Gjallarhorn really isn't the best weapon in the game. That was my original point. Its not the be all end all weapon we all need to have. People have been kicked from games because they don't have it. Just don't understand why people love to act as if it's the only reason they beat certain things. And if it is, then they suck. People shouldn't be kicked for something so stupid like that, if that happened to you that's messed up. They are all situational, like I said. I don't know if you have the gally but the difference is def noticeable when fighting a boss.

Happened to plenty of people I've played with ( game before mine kicks them for it ) including a lot of clan members who've then decided no more random lol. Haven't ever gotten it, but honestly I'd much rather use the Dragons Breath, and testing it with someone who does have Gjallarhorn I've found its more efficient and quick. Either way. I'm not disagreeing when you say it's situational. All things considered I just think it's treated like the only real exotic when it shouldn't be.

idk about needing it ... but it's an epic weapon to use on a boss; the way the game effects are make it feel like it should instead be called 'the epic boss killer' heavy weapon. for myself I tend to only pull it out for the boss actually b/c it takes up the exotic slot and I like to use other exotic primary/secondary weapons throughout the level/strike
