Maybe it encourages someone to change their ways (see my edit at the end) or maybe they'll just flame/troll the thread. Either way they might learn something about themselves! I'm not asking anyone to sympathize, relate to, or offer up solutions for my annoyances. I'm aware of the possible ways to avoid them. [b]2)[/b] Know it alls and show offs. [b]3)[/b] People who purposefully ruin your farming/bounties. What 3 players annoy you most? [b][u]Complete Version w/ Explanations[/u][/b] [spoiler][b]1)[/b] Stuff their faces with food and chew into the microphone. Nobody wants to hear you chomping. It's disgusting. Use the mute button or turn down the sensitivity of your microphone. Too many people have their mics set way too high. How do you not know that it's rude and disgusting to chew in people's ear? I always mute my mic when I'm burping, coughing, chewing, or any other bodily function you can think of. My mic actually stays muted unless I'm speaking. Try it out. [i]Example: [/i] Played Vault of Glass and this guy was chomping on Doritos the entire time extremely loud into the mic. This literally went on for 30 minutes straight. He ate an entire family size bag in one sitting. F'ing GROSS. Everyone was suffering in silence so I asked the guy if it's necessary to eat on mic. He just laughed and took it as a joke and continued. I wanted to strangle his big fat gullet with a Doritos bag. It was distracting and muting him would have caused a loss of communication and made it harder to strategize. Just don't eat on mic! Problem solved. [b]2)[/b] Think they need to educate you on every aspect of the game and force their strategies on everyone else. They want to be the ones to tell you what you already know, and they have zero ability to work as a team. [i]Know It All Example:[/i] The ones who need to reiterate everything about the game that everyone knows already. Just so they can be the informant. They need to tell you everything that has changed in the game from the Patch Notes even though you are constantly responding with "Yea" and they are fully aware everyone knows. [i]Show Off Example:[/i] They try to be Superman with everything they do to the detriment of the fireteam. Showing you how "good" they are takes precedence over everything. They're the guys who run through the Gorgon maze and leave everyone behind just to show how MLG they think they are. The challenge isn't soloing it chief, it's getting 6 people through it at once. Compensate for people behind you so they don't have to go to orbit and rejoin after it's over. You are only as skilled as your team and it's not everyone else's fault that you keep failing by double jumping and rushing through the maze and getting other people spotted. [b]3)[/b] Clearly know that you're farming or doing a bounty and purposefully ruin it. [i]Example:[/i] You see that I'm farming and you purposefully run around the room to stop enemies from spawning and pretend to be a naive innocent player who is "exploring". We all know it's your extra character and you're really a Level 30+ disguising your misplaced anger. Just because you're mad that I got there first. You know who you are! They ignore you and casually walk around as slow as possible and mess it up, then walk up to you and stare at you like an idiot and start shooting you in the head to try and annoy you into leaving. The kills are shared when you're near each other! There's no need to fight over enemies. So either learn to do it together or load a new instance. [b]EDIT[/b]: This is pretty cool. Went down the stairs today near the Cosmodrome Patrol spawn to kill the Hive Majors and a guy was down there already. He politely waited for me before killing the enemies and then worked WITH me to share the kills without me even asking. I sent him a message to thank him for his politeness and he laughed and said he saw my thread in the forums and started to be more courteous in farming spots.[/spoiler] Now let's hear which players annoy you the most.
