Honestly man I don't think it lacks content. It has more content then a lot of games. A lot of the ppl complaining are call of duty fanatics. And they just don't think anything compares to call of duty which is far from true as I'm a call of duty fan myself (which that game has been broke 2 years in a row). But they complain guns are op, to much work, not enough content, dlc didn't have enough, blah blah blah. For one certain guns in every game are stronger then other quit bitchin, 2: all games require work to get where you want to be as in cod you do the same stuff over and over and over to get to prestige 10 or higher, 3: lack of content/repetitive, it has more content than call of duty, and call of duty is WAY more repetitive but you don't bitch about that? Explanation of why more content in destiny and why call of duty is more repetitive, ok so you have a story, you have bounties, you have strikes, you have raids, you have patrol, you have public events, you have Pvp, you even have competative Pvp, you gave nightfalls/weeklys, and now you even have a line of quests and eris who you can do things for. Along with xur who is pretty much an event of his own every week. While call of duty has story multiplayer and zombies, and you complain about repetitive? Zombies being the most repetitive game type of all time ? I don't understand? And then back to the to much work in destiny/repetitive all in one thing I have to say...you literally work for your stuff in call of duty just to lose it and do it over and over again for 10-20 times and play the same maps over and over again. But yet you don't complain but destiny you do (you know why because you truly love this game and you want more so bad so you complain praying bungie will give it to you). And then you complain about the dlc not being enough for the money or just not enough period, well guess what it had a lot more then a lot of games when they drop dlc...call of duty for instance 15 bucks and you get 3 multiplayer maps and a new zombies. While in destiny you got 3 multiplayer maps, new guns and armor, new raid, new strike, new story missions, new quest missions/quest line, eris and her bounties and items for sale, some things they did to patrol, raised the level cap. And gave you the option to make your old exotics stronger. I think it's hilarious the complaints just make no sense and I already gave everyone the reason they complain...the love it so much they just want more. And the last complaint I'm sick of hearing...the crap story...REALLY ? They have a 10 year plan for destiny and this is just the beginning. Did you really expect the story in the first disc. The story we have so far is just the beginning and it was more just getting to know about the enemies and characters and a little info here and there about other stuff. It's just like a tv show the first season you usually get to know characters and the start of the story, well that's exactly what they did here, and we found out even more about the hive and who eris is in the dlc and each dlc and destiny we will learn more. The story will get better each and every time and it will all be put together. Quit complaining they have a 10 year plan for a reason. The problem today is ppl are so impatient as I am pretty impatient as well but this is a great game and I can tell it will only get better so I'm willing to be patient to see where the journey takes us. But I can't wait to hear ppl try to dog me and make me look stupid but guess won't it's not gonna happen cause everything I just said is true and you all will realize that soon enough. Have a wonderful holiday and New Years. Merry Christmas

5 Respuestas
Honestly man I don't think it lacks content.
That is your opinion, and to be honest, I would say it is an uneducated one.
It has more content then a lot of games.
Repetitive missions/bounties/pvp, etc does not equate to lots of content.
A lot of the ppl complaining are call of duty fanatics.
I have no CoD's on this tag...because I think CoD sucks balls...
3: lack of content/repetitive, it has more content than call of duty, and call of duty is WAY more repetitive but you don't bitch about that?
That is exactly why I don't play that shit.
I don't understand?
That is obvious... 8 years - this has been a project for Bungie for 8 years. Look at what we have right now with this game, and tell all of us, with a straight f*cking face, that this project looks like something that took 8 years to make. Strikes - either 7 or 8, depending on what console you run. PvP maps - had more with the first Halo back in 2001... Raids - 2...so far... Story missions - yeah, they went by quick. Bounties - done them ad nauseam So then what is left? Exploration? We have basically scoured over every map (all 4 of them) already, and is there any "new" to find? Nope. The story was severely lacking, and every week we get the option to play the same stuff over and over and over again. This is not a decent amount of content, and certainly does not warrant the 8 year project span Bungie brags about.

51 RespuestasEditado por xtbn: 12/26/2014 5:14:27 AMOh, boy. My problem is not that this post is long, its the lack of parragraphs. Also, bear with me on the typos I make, i'm using my phone here. Lets begin.
Honestly man I don't think it lacks content. It has more content then a lot of games.
This actually worries me a lot. It is not an indication of destiny being good, its an indication of the regression that te gaming industry is having as a whole.
A lot of the ppl complaining are call of duty fanatics.
Basseless assumption. I have never owned a CoD game. I've played them for a few hours thanks to cousins who have the games and let me play the ganes when I visit. I have always viewed CoD as a cancer to gaming. Also, I personally find that comparing this game to CoD to be wrong. They are shooters and have a PVP mode. Those are the only things I find in common with them.
And they just don't think anything compares to call of duty which is far from true as I'm a call of duty fan myself (which that game has been broke 2 years in a row). But they complain guns are op, to much work, not enough content, dlc didn't have enough, blah blah blah.
I have nothing to say here since this is basically opinion and backstory of you. Moving on.
For one certain guns in every game are stronger then other quit bitchin,
I have played my fair share of games with a competitive scene. The problem is not that thwre are guns more powerful than others, its how available they are. Havent you seen the loads of people that suggest the game spawns with less special ammo?
2: all games require work to get where you want to be as in cod you do the same stuff over and over and over to get to prestige 10 or higher,
I am actually a fan of RPGs and I am no stranger to grinding or RNG and I have to tell you that destiny over did it. Also, the grinding in games like CoD is more of a sidenote. In destiny, grinding is the main purpose of the game. Both games may have grinding, but they definitely place a different amount of emphasis on it. This why I say that comparing these two games makes little sense.
3: lack of content/repetitive, it has more content than call of duty, and call of duty is WAY more repetitive but you don't bitch about that?
Again, different games with different purposes. The closest thing to destiny out there is borderlands. And when you compare them, yes, destiny lacks content. BD as been described by some as gun porn due to the thousands of guns that the game has. Destiny has so few guns that there are people out there that already have all of the exotics.
The story is lacking. Bounties are not fun. Neither is patrol. Public events are interesting, I'll give you that. Strikes are nothing special and a nightfall is just a strike with random difficulty perks.
While call of duty has story multiplayer and zombies, and you complain about repetitive? Zombies being the most repetitive game type of all time ? I don't understand?
You don't ubderstand because you're looking at all this the wrong way. You think that only FPS fans bought this game? RPG and MMO enthisiasts also bought this game. Anyone who ever played an RPG and/or MMO will find a lot of the elements we like in those games and yet will think the game is lacking hugely! Also, repitition is a bad thing when the thing you are repeating is boring. Ever played LoL? Or heck? Any sport regardless of the type? Its repetition. But people enjoy it! Why? Because even when they are doing the same thing, doing it with people will usually reault in a sligtly different encounter than the previous one. That doesn't happen when you set to kill 20 vandals for ether seeds or whatever useless crap the vanguard tells you to farm from enemies. Its the same activity you did yesterday with ZERO variation.
And then back to the to much work in destiny/repetitive all in one thing I have to say...you literally work for your stuff in call of duty just to lose it and do it over and over again for 10-20 times and play the same maps over and over again.
Again, different things. The complains about the reputition in destiny are, as far as I can tell, on the PVE side of the game. Not the PVP.
But yet you don't complain but destiny you
I don't complain about CoD because I don't play it often enough to care. And if I did I doubt it would be about it being reptitive in PVP, since the competitive aide of the game is its main focus. Not the story mode.
do you know why because you truly love this game and you want more so bad so you complain praying bungie will give it to you).
Let me correct you here. In my case, I do not love the game. I like it. There is a difference. I complain beause I see a huge amount of potential in this game. I complain because I hope that the devs can see the errors they've made and fix them. The moment to voice our concerns is now. It is late for the first entry of destiny. But if we voice our concerns and opinions now then maybe, just maybe, we can help this franchise reaize its full potential and become the huge IP it was meant to be. To help it stand among the great.
And then you complain about the dlc not being enough for the money or just not enough period, well guess what it had a lot more then a lot of games when they drop dlc...
No, it didn't. I have bought DLC for 20 bucks before and I have always gotten more content for that amount of money. I have no doubt that there are games out there that offer DLC for 20 bucks the have less than destiny's DLC, but that is no consolation. Any RPG and/or MMO fan will find the PVE side of the DLC to be incredibly lacking. Its borderline insulting.
call of duty for instance 15 bucks and you get 3 multiplayer maps and a new zombies.
I will admit I have never bought DLC for a COD game, but thats 5 dollars less for the same amount of maps and and new game mode. People who only like and play PVP will feel cheated, even if there is a PVE side to it. On the other hand people who only care about PVE will be underwhelmed and wont give a damn about the PvP content. See the problem? Destiny has gamers with different goals and focuses on the game. By trying to please everyone at the same time they end up pleasing no one at all.
While in destiny you got 3 multiplayer maps, new guns and armor, new raid, new strike, new story missions, new quest missions/quest line, eris and her bounties and items for sale, some things they did to patrol, raised the level cap. And gave you the option to make your old exotics stronger.
You make it sound huge. Again, RPG fans will find this to be bare minimum. Yes, there are new guns. How many? If you are on Xbox you got less. Not to mention that a lot of new guns are rare. Yeah, I didn't notice these untill people pointed them out. Keeping your old exotics relevant and raising the lvl cap is not groundbreaking, its expected. And eris bounties are nothing special. You think that having to land a killing blow on an enemy with a spicific skill adds replayability to the game? Seriously?!
I think it's hilarious the complaints just make no sense and I already gave everyone the reason they complain...
I think its sad that you never understood the problem to begin with.
the love it so much they just want more.
Again, I don't love the game, I like it.
And the last complaint I'm sick of hearing...the crap story...REALLY ? They have a 10 year plan for destiny and this is just the beginning.
And this is the one defense claim I am sick of hearing. The 10 years plan does not excuse the lack of plot now. No one, and I mean no one, expected or wanted a conclusion to the games' plot. This is the first entry. This was the game to introduce us to the world and its characters. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the queen and her brother don't have names!!! The vanguard leaders got no introduction!!! And the exo stranger never even gave us a name to call her by, even though she clearly had time to do so at the end cutscene. This should make it blatantly obvious how little effort went in to introducing you to this games' world!!! Talking about how the world is in ruins and how you could tells us what happened in the past is NOT a way to introduce players to the plight of this universe.
Did you really expect the story in the first disc. The story we have so far is just the beginning and it was more just getting to know about the enemies and characters and a little info here and there about other stuf
I already adressed this.
. It's just like a tv show the first season you usually get to know characters and the start of the story, well that's exactly what they did here
No, they didn't.
, and we found out even more about the hive and who eris is in the dlc.
Oh, really? What did you learn about he hive that you couldn't have known in the vanilla version of the game?
this is a great game and I can tell it will only get better
Opinion. Mine? This is an ok game with huge potential, and we can only hope it gets better.

1 RespuestaDoesn't lack content?!? Man, I wish I still did drugs.
-
U lost me when u say there are content..
-
Lol I'm sick of complaining also but why are you comparing this game to call of duty? The points you made in this post were dumb.
-
Paragraphs? Not reading that mess...
-
This game is Activision's hidden beta test for Call of Duty: super advanced future space ops... I'm just surprised they haven't replace orbs with mountain dew bottles and engrams with different flavored doritos. "Gotta get that sweet chili but all I get is cool ranch!"

Hey, this might be useful to you... http://www2.open.ac.uk/students/skillsforstudy/dividing-your-work-into-paragraphs.php

Paragraphs are very useful. Use them to break up your wall of text please.

Look mom it's the great Wall of tl; dr

WARNING: BODY OF TEXT AHEAD Summary: cod < destiny

In tearing up. This was beautiful and well written bravo

Dude, you're just trolling at this point. Not only do you have a paragraph that is incredibly hard to read with abbreviations and grammatical errors that forced me to stop reading, but you come across as a fanboy. I have devoted hours into this game, and have very little to show for it. Honestly it was a waste of my time, and money. This game doesn't have enough content, and what it was going to be would have been far better than it is. You've succeeded in showing how little you understand, and I suppose that shady spot under your bridge is pretty comfortable. Have a good one.

3 RespuestasHey Dr. Dub, allow me to school you on a few things. Not everyone plays call of duty, call of duty is not the top shooter nor is it the best game, nor is it the best choice to compare to when you're talking about amount of content. A lot of cod fans aren't true gamers. But in their defense they know what to expect each year. A game focused on Pvp. Destiny didn't live up to what was advertised. Let me give you example of what bungie did with destiny that you can understand. What if the next cod was advertised as being a more story based game? What if they said the story would rival the Uncharted series and Mass Effect series in regards to story telling? Then when they released the next cod, it was the same game. Pvp focused and a 5-6 hour campaign. People would be upset. While bungie didn't do THAT EXACTLY, this is not the game advertised. Throughout your entire post all you talked about was call of duty. To you, I guess it wouldn't wouldn't be fair to destiny to compare it to other non first person shooters with way more content like Dragon Age Inqusition, Skyrim, Mass effect series, Final Fantasy 13 series, Uncharted Series, The last of us, the list goes on but let me just stop there. Dr. Dub get back to us when you can compare destiny to at least one of those games I just mentioned. On a side note, Skyrim's dlc's for dragonborn and dawnguard have way more content than all of destiny, and thats not an opinion thats a fact. But let me throw out a few fps shooters that I like and feel they have way more content than destiny with no dlc required. Battlefield series, Resistance, far cry 3 and 4, all 3 borderlands, killzone series. Those are a few I'VE played. Your entire post failed when you compared destiny to nothing but call of duty. I mean it Failed with a capital F. I could be speculating but since you have 3 characters all level 30 and above, I assume destiny is the only game you play. That's not a bad thing, but it has left you a little narrow minded when it comes to gaming and other games out there.
-
Brother I'm sorry to inform you that you are lacking in gaming knowledge. Let's talk about content. Go play fallout 3. That game had content. Then go get each dlc and see the amount of content it gave you. Then you will see the difference. The game advertised for so long became nonexistent and we were left with this half measure of a game. I love this game but pissed for being lied too.
-
19 RespuestasNot impatient. Bungie advertised a game. This is not the game they advertised. Even the reviewers called them out on it. The lack of a coherent story. Leaving the game to find out a lore? Leaving the game to make parties that are needed to play/complete the game? In my book that's a fail. A big fail. Then we have the on line issues. Nerf, buff, nerf, buff. Fix this, create another problem. Add more currency to an already packed economy. What economy? I have a crap load of STUFF I have no use for and I can't use it. This is a glorified beta. We payed them so they could learn how to fix it and make it work. The end result will be D2. I bought into their sales pitch, THEIR HYPE. I pre ordered the game and bought the pass. I have made my suggestions, vented, ranted. This game needs a LFG tool first. It needs to bring the grimoires into the game. They need to flesh out the story. There is so much to learn. For gods sake hire a economist. Lose some of the crap we carry/store. The game has great mechanics that's all I can tell you. That's it? When my pass is up, I'm out. Forever.
-
It has more content than a lot of games yes, Tetris, dr Mario, words with friends (though not as fun), robot unicorn attack (though not as fun), et for Atari...the list goes on.
-
2 RespuestasLies are still lies. False advertisement at its finest, and they get away with it.
-
Halo 1-3 > Elderscrolls > Destiny > Pacman > Battlefield > Call of duty > Tetris
-
6 RespuestasOne more person that is mad that destiny sucks. Btw cod has a better story than this did.
-
Yeah I have no idea how to contact bungie for that so I gave up and been farming roc hoping for my first Ghorn for the second time. Lol
-
Also I compare this game to the game styles and gameplay of Halo, World of Warcraft, & a bit of Mass Effect.
