Murmur is stoopid

Guys, I'm not bashing on the gun, Murmur, itself. I am bashing on the way bungie decided we could switch the elements. It is a really cool idea to have a gun which can shoot two different elements, but do we really have to go to our inventory, wait for it to load, then select the element from the skill tree of the gun? Opening up the inventory isn't a hassle, unless you are in the middle of a match, strike, raid, whatever. If you are in the middle of a fight, the load time is 3x-5x longer. It would be so much better if we could use the d-pad to switch elements. This gives a new function to the buttons, and it saves a ton of time. The d-pad could also have other uses like using synthesis packs, or instantly switch subclasses. Again, these are just ideas, but I think it would greatly benefit a lot of people if they inputted this into destiny. EDIT 1 New idea, during NAV mode (when you summon sparrow or go to orbit), it displays ALL item cooldowns. This includes all ammo synthesis, all glimmer bonus modifiers, and all weapon telemetries. EDIT 2: Guys, this is just an idea I would like to have implemented into Destiny. This won't harm you guys, and yes, it will save people about 10 seconds tops, but I still want it. That's what convenience is for. X1 and ps4 users load times are pretty fast compared to the 30-45 second load times previous gen has. EDIT 3: Wow guys! This is my first post that made it to trending with 155 posts so far. I'd like to say thanks to BOTH positive and negative feedback a because BOTH of them help me refine this idea as much as I can. Though I personally would prefer the switching of elements with the murmur with the d-pad or swiping up or down, many people have suggested holding reload for 3 seconds, which loads your next clip with the opposite element and automatically changes the stats of the gun as it is supposed to. PLEASE LEAVE MORE FEEDBACK regardless of your point of view. Thanks :) EDIT 4: I understand many people dislike this idea since switching the elements to abuse the advantages of each element can make this gun more OP than it supposedly is, but I want this gun to be used as a DUAL ELEMENT gun, not a space saver so you don't need another arc/solar weapon. Five knights and five wizards? No problem! This gun was made for that, since it was specifically released during the hive DLC, it should be suitable against hive enemies, which include wizards and knights, both of which have solar and arc shields. EDIT 5: How about switching subclasses using the dpad? Just a thought. I'd like to hear feedback. EDIT 6: So edit 5 was a no go. But still, thanks for the feedback. Just finished the raid on crota and got the hunger of crota! Anyways, how about the ability to ONLY hip fire, left trigger is arc, and right trigger is solar. When shooting one element, the stats pertain to each element. So arc will shoot faster yet less ranger, and solar will shoot slower but more range. Reload can be in between solar and arc arrangement Edit 6: Lots of people would like the cooldowns appearing on the NAV mode screen, and some want voice commands for next Gen users. Post your thoughts and ideas.
