    so many people just complain about the problems in destiny and don't propose solutions that are ACTUALLY attainable. This game is fun and very polished, but there are many oversights in the loot system and I feel that is the biggest flaw currently (besides the bugs). I will offer my two cents on the best way to fix it: General loot: When you decrypt a legendary engram, you should not get ascendant materials. It makes no sense to have this system since you can dismantle items for those materials anyways. Let the players have the choice on wether or not they get the shards. It is extremely frustrating when you get that legendary chest engram and that's the only piece that you have a blue on still and it turns into shards. Let US decide if we need the shards or not. Let US make the choice of dismantling legendary gear. The Raid (and future raids): The randomness is not is huge problem for the weapons, but for armor, which is attached your level in the game, is a HUGE problem, because nobody respects or honors the high rank players. I know plenty of people who got all three pieces of gear in their very FIRST run, where my warlock has been stuck at 29 for 6 weeks! The sad part is that bungie already partially fixed this with the iron banner. All they need to do is take gear out of the raid and give out tokens at each checkpoint and have a raid gear vendor in the tower so that you don't get repeat gear like I have. This would work exactly like the other vendors and is the best solution to this problem. The second part of the raid that is a problem is the Vex Mythoclast. The other guns can remain random, but with how hard the Hard raid is, the vex cannot be a random reward. A final boss after a 2-3 hour activity needs GUARANTEED rewards. It is so frustrating that I have done the hard raid 8 times and my friend has done it 5 times and u have not gotten the Vex once, he has had it drop EVERY time. I repeat, he has done the raid 5 times and got the vex 5 times! That is how broken the system is. Now my solution is very simple, just reward every player with the gun after the first time you complete run through on hard (complete every single checkpoint) and then only a chance for the other exotics after that. So now you can only get the gun once per character and you don't get repeats and you are actually REWARDED for completing the hardest activity in the game, what a novel idea! The vex should show that you completed hard mode, not that you got lucky. Crucible: Now this is a very big problem as well, I'll just give the solution. Everybody gets a reward no matter what, wether it's an engram, strange coin, etc. The top 3 players get an extra reward every match and are also guaranteed to get one engram of at least rare quality. The top three players are the only ones that have a chance to get a legendary item, whatever it may be. The #1 player on ONLY the winning team has the chance to get an exotic. This will motivate players to actually compete, like in the iron banner. The most recent iron banner was so much fun because people actually tried. RNG has no place in competitive play, but if you have to, it needs to be based on performance, not complete randomness. There are obviously many other things that can be improved, this is not a rant, but my friends and I have all brainstormed about the loot problems and we have all agreed that these would be the best way to improve the game. The bugs in the raid need to be fixed first, then ALL of the exotics need a buff immediately and then and only then can bungie start with these loot changes. If bungie implements anybody these suggestions, please just go with the raid gear part, rank needs to MEAN something not show how lucky you. If you agree, bump this, it would drastically improve this game. I love destiny and want this game to succeed, but the changes bungie has made are too little and too far in between. Edit 1: For all of those posting that I want drops to be easier to get and I want more of them, I am not. The main point I am trying to make here is that bungie should give us the choice to get the gear we need/want. If you only need one piece of raid gear, you shouldn't have to keep playing the raid over and over agin HOPING to get lucky to get that one piece, while other people get 3 different pieces in one run. That is not fair and completely ruins the leveling system in the game. As for the Vex, the only reason I said it should be rewarded to every player that finishes hard mode is that it should be like your trophy for accomplishing the game's hardest activity, not another weapon that you just so happened to get. When you go through the game's hardest activity, you should not be given another roll of the dice, because it is extremely dissatisfying to get 9 ascendent shards and a useless ship. So now a loading screen has the same value as the Vex Mythoclast? I don't think so, and that is the biggest problem with the current system. Thank you for the support, hopefully bungie sees this, as I and many others love this game and love bungie, but right now, the loot system is why so many players are quitting and playing other games.
