Is it so hard to find people who actually want to beat the raid on hard?
I know there are people who say they've beaten it on hard but it's clear to me that you were carried by people who knew what they were doing or got lucky with getting gear from the raid. I feel like I have to take the time to check your stats to see you if you're good in pvp(so at least I know that you're smart enough to stay alive) because apparently every level 29 and 30 I come across can't break a 1.0. Don't get me wrong I understand you have heart and want to complete the raid on hard, but it definitely takes a lot more than that. You have to communicate, call everything out and execute when needed to. If you're going to post that you're experienced in the raid you better know how to play any and all spots. If you're experienced in the raid on normal it doesn't mean you're experienced on hard. Also if you are not at least lvl 29 don't take it personal but it does not matter what your player skill is, you will get one shotted by hobgoblins, and you should not attempt the raid unless you are using maxed out weapons and exotics. Just make raiding easier for everyone and know your limit. If you want to raid just to joke around, do it on normal because I personally don't like wasting 3 hours of my time with people who want to joke around on hard. A joke here and there is fine but I just like to get down to business and get it done. Thank you
Edit:Pvp is a simple opener to help other players understand that beating the raid on hard requires consistency, and pvp is what I believe somewhat shows a players skill, the ability to react and adapt to a games environment, reaction time and map awareness is key in the raid and is like I said a reflection of you pvp play style which requires some consistency

Hi all, if anyone has a good team for the VOG to finish on hard or even normal mode please add me. i would love to join. i never finished the raid on any mode, but i do finish the weekly heroic and nightfall every week. When adding me, please just put a small msg with the add request saying "VOD team" just to know its not a random add from the tower :D. I am a good team player and actually love team work. -blam!- off you dick using PvP as a check for PvE. Stick me in front of 10 players and I will die over and over again. Stick me I front of a million mobs and once I learn their routes I'll kill them all. Moral of the rant. You can't use PvP to gauge PvE they are totally different.

3 RespuestasAre you serious? I've been swarmed with people asking to jump into our hardcore raid groups or shooting invites to join them for one. In my experience TOO MANY people want to do the hardcore raid. (Even though they aren't ready)

90% of the things in this game is luck even beating things like raid on hard, it's circumstantial. Don't talk high and mighty like ppl with good k/d makes you better at pvp. This game is glitchy as hell especially in the raid. All the those pvp kill streaks and double kills are circumstantial you can get shot in the and you can catch 2 ppl having a gun fight an get a double, I'm pretty sure fair and skill aren't apart of fps games, except mlg. I've beaten hard 5 times and I've beaten the raid so many times on regular and no warlock gear. I ppayed more hours than alit of lvl 30's does that make them better cause they are properly gear because of luck?

6 RespuestasI think it's due to the fact that nothing changes reward wise between normal and hard. I mean there a chance at getting the mythoclast but that's really it. The only reason I want to beat the raid on hard is because I'll get a trophy for doing it and I'm a trophywhore.

I love to try it, but I never have enough time beside weekends really. It's sad. And yeah, there's always someone (I do it too sometimes) who -blam!-s up and then you have to wipe.

I'm not great on pvp due to my twitch skills lacking. But I do know how to strategize and beat pve strikes and have done the vault on normal and besides the disappearing cliffs I don't die often. Measuring pvp for skill isn't a great way to measure overall in this game.

5 RespuestasYou know that PVP and PVE have nothing to do with one another right? You're talking about AI vs actual intelligence. Gear and level is one of the most important factors and you can't be a potato. It's funny that everybody tries to cheese the raids and nightfall (any tough content) and then try to come on the forums complaining about players. Listen, I know you're mad... It's your first MMO because losing 3 hours of your life only to wipe on new content is common place in the MMO world. Soon, in about a month or so, they'll nerf those hard modes and we the casuals (you included) will have an easier time. Spend a little time teaching others what needs to be done and communicate and you may be surprised of the outcome

1 Respuestalvl 29 warlock void/sun 100% mic-yes console-ps3 timezone-est have beaten raid on normal multiple times, have had final boss on hard mode at 20%. Currently save on hard mode right b4 u summon the boss. Would like to join a team thats also on hard mode and be part of the static group to do weekly nightfalls/heroic/riads and future content together, rather than always trying to hop between groups of people everyweek its frustrating.I have been playing MMO's over 8yrs now so i know how it is to deal with raid groups and people. I don't have a compelling reason to beat the raid on hard. All I can get is a helmet (use my exotic helmet) and a slim to none chance at the mythoclast. Normal mode one hour clear gets me the same exact crap. I'd upgrade all my armor and weapons with shards if I felt there was a compelling reason to complete the raid on hard, but there simply isn't. If this is how Bungie plans on doing DLC and level caps (no reason to ever get to the level cap and no way to do so other than a single raid) this game is going to die.

2 RespuestasA 29 doesn't get 1 shot by hobgoblins. I've ran the raid on hard 3 times now and have never gotten 1 shot by one hobgoblins. Also k/d for crucible has nothing to do with how skilled a player is in PVE. I could have a .5 k/d because I suck at pvp, but could be a god in PVE. It's two completly different things.

While it does show consistency, they may be getting a bad K/D because they are doing Bounties.

K/D has nothing to do with the raid. It literally doesn't mean shit. Especially raid/PVE K/D anybody can kill a bunch of trash mobs but it's the strategy and communication that takes down the enemies that actually matter.

4 RespuestasFor me, completing the VoG on Hard has lost its place in gaming credibility since the recent Atheon exploit has become common place. What once was an admirable and honorable achievement, is now a questionable one wrapped in doubt. The prestige of the achievement is severely degraded in my mind. Mildly tragic. Patch time. Result? Expect the Vex Mythoclast to become almost as popular as the Suros Regime until a patch eliminates the Atheon exploit. Do I care? Not really. Just pointing out the obvious. If people want to use the exploit to reduce the difficulty, you can't blame them. Some would say it's simply utilizing a tactical strategy (playing smart) that Bungie has allowed. Others would call it cheating. Me? I would prefer to do it the hard way, since my sense of accomplishment would be higher. I like a challenge. Maybe that's why I was an Infantry Marine and not a pogue in the Air Force. To the OP, matchmaking for raids should be optional. We should have a choice. Instead, we have to really struggle to get a team together. I've about given up. I must have tried a dozen times to get into a Normal raid team. All failed, for various reasons (server issues, failed invites, fireteam privacy issues, flakey people, etc). Frustrating.

I have a good KD and dominate in pvp and I'm great at raiding as well lol best of both worlds
