6 RespuestasEvery time I read a thread title that is some form of "Destiny's PvP is unbalanced", my mind automatically translates it to "I'm getting killed more than I'm used to in multiplayer, because I haven't adjusted to the game mechanics of Destiny's PvP".

Editado por NathanW18: 10/7/2014 5:33:57 AMThe multiplayer is extremely unbalanced. Although, I do like the fact that the game promotes players to move around. A lot of shooters are camp fests, but this game does encourage you to move. Seeing as the mini map always shows enemy positions and the maps are built around CQC. I like that aspect of it. You can move to the other side of the map, without worrying about some kid that loves to sit in one place, killing you in two bullets. I know that a lot of players hate the shotguns, but that aspect of the game means that players are actually engaging each other up close. Something that most other shooters don't allow so much. They tend to have obvious spots where people can sit and hold down a choke point. The only maps I really dislike in this game are First Light and Bastion. Mainly becuase of the vehicles and they're more campy. Still, the supers, grenades, auto rifles, vehicles, etc, are all OP and annoying at times. Many of your deaths will be unavoidable and frustrating, but I still get some fun out of it. Well, when playing with friends. PvP is awful alone. Too many awful players drag the team down. I can easily see people that like slower paced shooters not liking this. It will definitely force you outside of your comfort zone.

Just have some fun. You're going to die sometimes.

8 RespuestasI have major problems with the balance in crucible as well. Ironically enough, I think you realize how unbalanced it is the better you become at the game - you get into those matches where you are playing pretty well, but only seem to die based on some cheesy death. I think it's pretty clear that while fun and cool, the creation and development of each class's special ability was designed exclusively for PvE - make it work well in PvE, and make it look cool and exciting in PvE, and addicting to use, with no thought of how they would translate in the PvP arena. In short, they don't. Whether it's the Hunter's blade dancer which is almost unavoidable, or the Titan's ground smash killing you despite you jumping several feet in the air, or the room clearing Nova Bomb of the Warlock, it's pretty clear that little thought was put into the use of specials in the game. The same lack of thought feels to be in place with the vehicles that appear on one or two of the maps well. You can throw fusion rifles onto a list of weapons that probably perform exceptionally well beyond their niche or environment, as well as most Auto Rifles in the game, which really make any alternate combination unworthy. Despite equalizing for things like damage and armor, many exotic weapons (like the Suros Regime, or the Pocket Infinity), just outperform everything in the Crucible as well. That's not to say that the Crucible can't be fun or enjoyable. But when you consider the really poor balancing act that goes into this game's multiplayer, combined with the really bad loot system, it rarely ever feels worth it wasting time in the PvP arena unless you are grinding for those marks or bounties, which rarely, if ever, feels worth it

Most fun i've had in pvp for a long time.
-
you must be knew to FPS (first person shooter) games that include multiplayer
-
lol go into Iron Banner then cry some more
-
It's fun. What more can u ask for. It's actually balanced, just specials are rediculous and shotgun sprinting seems a little strong ATM as everyone can always have one.

My Hand Cannon says hi... 2.0+ Kd... PvP is simple and fun.

I agree that the Destiny PvP is a joke. The balancing aspect is atrocious. However, it's really a very simple PvP. Anybody that's actually good at COD (not just a high kd but actually good) can easily dominate Destiny's PvP. It doesn't take long to figure out that shotguns and fusion rifles along with supers and grenades are going to be used liberally. So much so that nobody really uses their primary. So if you are the type of player that runs in then you need to bring those things with you. Prenade the room and clean up whats left. If you want to use your primary you need to stay back outside of your opponents range. Then you can pick them off all day. I was playing Control on the Earth map with the open B flag and I must have dropped 7 guys in a row that jumped over the wall with a shotgun trying to catch me off guard and position themselves to get out of my line of sight as they went up. I stayed back just far enough that I was out of their gun range and could see them the whole time. They were dead before they hit their peak and I capped the flag with ease. Always on radar is a real gift don't you know. What you have to remember is that most of these folks that you are playing against aren't high skill players and they aren't going to become high skilled players as there is nothing in the PvP to force them to learn. Outsmarting them is quite easy. The only other thing that you need to learn is the blast radius for the supers. If you know how far back to be then you can drop them while they are coming out of their animation. I'm personally looking forward to seeing how well the hunter trip mines work. I don't normally like playing like a douche but since Destiny PvP is all about the douche, I figure that I'm probably going to be racking up the kills once I start throwing those around in all of the right places.

agreed... the multiplayer is crazy unbalanced. double melee happens constantly, auto rifles are a insane, and supers ruin all the fun.

2 RespuestasMultiplayer isn't perfectly balanced, but Bungie has already assured us they have patches coming (minor nerf to ARs, nerf to shotguns, buff to scout rifles). I'd also say that hand cannons should get a small buff and the Blade Dancer super a small nerf; but as a longtime CoD veteran, I think Bungie got balance pretty good here. (And unlike in CoD, you don't ever have to worry about being soundwhored by a camper with Ghost sitting behind IEDs with Danger Close, or being spawnkilled repeatedly by a VTOL, etc.)

lmao @ every map is built for shotguns. Maaaann I wish. The meta would be so much easier.

Agreed, thank god I didn't buy Destiny for PvP
-
If this were a game of jenga. I would wonder why people play this game if all do is keep picking up blocks and stacking them only to watch it fall again. This shit won't stand

Warlock is OP. Hunter is underpowered. Stop spreading lies.

26 Respuestasfinally not a kiss ass post. yeh the games online pvp is terrible it rate it behind cod2 well behind cod2 its not even close to being good or having any skill needed to play thats why people love it run in like mindless drones and wait for free special powerups that come no matter what jump smash the ground get free kills while a giant on screen flashing radar lets you know when anyone is within 40mtrs haha no skill no balanced guns or armor its worse than cod core. its blamming blam blam gash

1 Respuesta"When every one is super!... No one will be" Over all its actually well balanced some weapons tilt it abit, but over all its balanced. truly a home of a lot of unique weapons. And every one is super powered each with strengths and weaknesses making a unique learning curve.

Editado por Lo Mein Beyond: 10/4/2014 2:36:55 PMYou say the PvP in this game is the most unbalanced you've ever played...sounds like you haven't played too many shooters. It is flawed, sure, but definitely not the most unbalanced multiplayer out there. And what do you mean by "only one kind of auto rifle does anything"???
-
2 Respuestasyou know why the PVP maps are so small? so they can sell you the other half of it later for more $$ Down with the greed, let Bungie die.
